but now hard to find 2nd FZ30 with NICE price
then i will use my FZ7 till future

actually FZ30 with FZ7 both oso got good and bad comparing
like FZ7 got high iso 1600 and 2'5 lcd
i think still got more but i cant remember adi
if u think to get FZ7 also not bad
now i super like 16:9 size photo much
with nice lumix casing and 310 weight
easy to take to anywhere this prosumer camera
noise not a big problem for me coz i seldom using high iso to take picture
for me this kind of photography new bird adi enuff to using FZ7
now still hvnt fully know to handle it yet
will learn it slowly and hope future can take nice picture

oh really, but i go afew shop oso dint c they selling fz30.
ya, the most think i like is fz7 can be easy carry,if compare other. thx man...cant wait to get the money n buy fz7.

I dont think FZ7 has this 28mm in 16:9 aspect mode. Unless u used a wide converter lens.

@spitz: it depends on you. the manual mode is a definite plus for a compact digicam but you must always realise the noise issue presented in lumix series, especially the ones using image processors lower than Venus Engine III.

On the other hand, many people would rather take in the noise b'coz the details in the photos taken by LX1 is extremely clear. Rumour says that LX2 may utilise VEIII thus reduces noise issue but loses out on details.

So it's really up to you lol.

not sure it's about my statement? but me thinking of getting advantage of the mega OIS and AA battery, only LZ2 for RM899 and LS2 for RM688 here match my demand, any view.?

FYI, Lumix Venus III is not any better than the latter one...
Noise issues can be seen at higher iso....
but can be accepted for small prints such as for 4x6

yup, the noise problem still exists but i got myself a LZ2 for RM799, nice camera although a bit old model, satisfy with the shots, macro, portrait all nice...

Well, the venus 3 engine was meant to reduce the noise of itz predecessors, not eliminate em up... n it is now here for a reason, not juz for stupid marketing strategies..

So, how do we actually compare these engines side by side? do we haf 2 5MP cams at 3x optical zoom with Venus II and III respectively, side by side takin the same image?

I think we better do that to clarify things...
