nope. They don't deal in ALL Randall products..... just some of their entry level ones.

Oh yeah..... I'm PRAYING PRAYING PRAYING for a Krank dealer.....
Seriously.... if someone brings in the Krankenstein amp, I'm DEFINATELY getting that...... I don't care if I have to beg, borrow or steal.

i'm seeing a small and growing trend happening among ppl who play the pub circuit etc.
they dont use an amp anymore, instead they bring a small modeller etc and plug direct into the pa.

used to be a few before, but more are popping up now.

Makes sense, since most of the amps there either suck or there aren't any amps at all.

I think if you ask, they can always order anything you want for you.

I rather waste cash on a Krankenstein amp.......

And yeah.... for a gigging musician.... it would seem stupid to bring out their crazy size halfstack when they can just plug in a POD or something into the PA.... voila..... instant big sound........

Besides...... with such large venues, you can't really hear the nuances between a moddler and a full amp (provided that it's a GOOD moddler)...

the way that article is written sounds like the guy is pissed off at the ppl who run trade shows, most probably cos he cant afford his dream guitar at the shows.
afterall, why go to a trade show if you're not gonna trade/buy?

some of the new gibsons are crap tho.
as for vintage fenders, well obviously again cant expect perfect condition.
what draws ppl to vintage are the necks and the pickups.
the feel of a nicely played neck, the pickups that have lost abit of that magnetism making them sound sweeter etc etc.
thats why there are relic series.
also my friend has both a '62 and '64 strats, both are in very playable condition.

as for that 'frets nail filing' thing on the gibson, that i wont believe.
the owner of that shop has a right to return the item back to gibson if they chose to do so, but obviously they did not.
which makes you wonder if they're talking crap or not, cos that guy seems to be a prs lover.
would you keep a expensive instrument if theres a defect in it? or return it right away to the manufacturer?

I see. Just curious though. I found it hard to believe what I was reading, so just wanted to hear the other side of the story. When you're paying that much of dough you would expect a good quality instrument, naturally.

I once saw Rithan of Deja Voodoo Spells bringing his own Marshall head to the venue (AVT150 head if I am not mistaken) only to play through his POD bypassing the Marshall preamp.

Weird, since he could have just use the MG100 head that was already there and do the same thing. I doubt there will be any differences in sound.

I guess he meant bypassing the preamp on the MG as well.

I heard from friends working inside Bentley. Bentley planning to expand their business or rather monopoly within this few years. Supposedly going to open one big multi storey building somewhere in Damansara carrying all the major brands la. Kinda like a Malaysian Guitar Centre I guess.

That's what my friends told me too. Apparently they're planning to move to the Curve/Damansara Perdana area (Hooray for me! rclxms.gif ).

Not sure about the moving part though, it could be an expansion. smile.gif

Bentley's stuff are not overpriced, their just imported. Their precious Warwick behind the glass costs 8k MYR, which amounts up to about 1.6k EUR which is the selling price for it in germany (only diff is in germany there is a wall of them and you can test them and put them back. In bentley you only get to test it if you look like u have the cash and really wanna buy it). So it's just a 1:1 conversion factor. That's why msia is plagued with ltd or epiphones or squier users, because even these are expensive like shit. But affordable.

Ah well, if they're moving to damansara then i guess it's ok. Home of the rich... biggrin.gif tongue.gif
