less than 3 seconds each attempt

strange, then it shouldn't will have any problem as long you soldered the correct wires.

i tried switching the wires around again and than I made sure no solder come in contact with each other as well. But sound still comes out fine when listening to music so i guess i,ll just leave it at that.

could you snap a picture of both soldering point for us to see?

Hmm i guess so. Im in JB so.. sweat.gif haha! Lots of different types of materials and i think its just crazy how the prices can go up. Few hundered USD for an IC cable is too much.
I guess it makes sense. There has to be a limit on how much the electrons can transfer right? using pure copper is comparable to pure gold ? Maybe both will flow the same amount of electrons.
Maybe the stock cable is not as good. How about swtiching from a good custom cable to another good custom cable? Will there be differences.. ?
*
prices of these cable can go very crazy can be due to the material cost as well, some cable makers tend to perform some treatment on their cable so that it could further improve the conductivity. Example: cryogenic treatment. So far all the cryo treated cables I tried seems to have rounder highs.

Different cable makers has their own way on making their cables, sound can be differ on how much solder amount you applied on each contact point and how many cable strand you used on each terminal, so I would say yeah, switching from one good custom cable to another might show differences, also, depends on your setup's sensitivity.

after much hardwork and tenacity this is my end product happy.gif very extremely happy with this because it's my first time recabling a headphone wheeee!!!

Ignore the horrible braiding at the end because  it was blardy hard to solder while braided...and the heatshrink there is from when i was stripping the insulation and metal weave protecting the cables D: but all in all totally worth it

keep it up bro!

found this picture in an earlier post im planning to recable my ms1i with l4e6s but was wondering where can I find the splitter thing in the middle for my cable, and also maybe some nice tubing to fit the ms1i?

Or split it like this(those are extra tubings right?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
If you don't mind the slight cosmetic issue, you can strip the L4E6S halfway then unbraid them to 2 twisted pair, there, you got a split.

and one of my recent work

i want to make it portable so is there away to make it more appealing?

then i guess you can strip all the coating? then at the split use a tighter heatshrink or a hotglue to prevent it from debraid itself hmm.gif

but we need to use member tag code for that function to work, which 99% people don't use it,

i prefer to heatshrink my plugs inside the body, people cant see it but hidden inside the plug is actually sealed,,,

QUOTE(penmarker @ Apr 18 2013, 03:35 PM)
Hi, explain something to me. I own the DR150 and Vero 150 cable. I know it improves the sound signature of the headphones, that's not the issue.

My question is about the last mile. The cable is plugged in to the left earcup, and the cable connecting to the right driver is I assume inferior to the Vero.
So why is there no discernible sonic difference between the left and right driver?

I'm not doubting anything since I know the cable works very well. Just puzzled about this.

Same thing about expensive "audiophile grade" power cables. The wiring in the house is standard throughout, it is already not "audiophile grade" yet from the wall plug to the power supply or power amp, you have "audiophile grade" cables.
This is actually the opposite of the above scenario, when improvement is made in the last mile instead of any degradations happening in the last mile.
*
This is very interesting, before that I was been told about this too. Then I tried it in Jaben, and I'm quite surprised that there are no difference of sound signature between right and left driver, normally single entry headphones will show some minor difference of sound due to the cable length of right and left driver.
