Usually red=right, i might be wrong... so in this case red=right, green=left, white=ground. But, maybe I'm wrong... Maybe the sifus here can confirm this. Before soldering, burn off the red, green and white paint with soldering iron tip. smile.gif

Why 5 cable? Is your headphone come with mic? normal 3.5mm jack come either with 3 or 4 cable only.

you need a multimeter to test the cable, which one goes where.

If 5 cable mean your current one using TRRS 3.5mm audio jack.

Why not use music to test it, make sure you know that piece of music well (so you that you know the sound should come from left or right). red and green can be left or right until we test it, no need to solder first just use your hand to make contact with the terminals.

the diameter, number of cores as well as purity (no of N) will affect sound differently. Knowing the details will allow you to predict how it will sound, but ultimately the best way to choose an audio cable is to audition it (not that it is always possible).

Most audio cables are either copper or silver, i doubt if anyone has made a bronze cable.

Made 2 RCA-RCA just for fun. rclxm9.gif
8 braid SPC cable.
REAN plugs.
About 115cm in length.
Long and short heatshrink to differentiate between left and right.
Currently, I don't know how it sounds like and will not know because I don't know how to judge a sound.. blush.gif

hi sifus , i really dont where to ask so I'll start from here.

Is there a possibility of that any of you can fix the cables of my koss kcs75?

My headphones have no sound and I suspect its the cables that are not connected due to wear and tear and abuse over the years.

thank you..
