I thought it us for prepaid user. I am using mb40 now , I don't mind on SMS and call chargers but I need the best value and large amount of data. What you guys can recommend me? Already using mb40  but quota already finish in two weeks. Now on booster plan 1gb:3 days:rm10.
*
try not to waste money on booster if you consistently overquota with mb40 (2gb).

if your mb40's 2gb only able to last until 4th week of the month, then booster is ok cuz u only need to buy maybe 1-2 times.

if you keeps buying >2 booster in a month, best is upgrade to mb68 (5gb+5gb), more value and no need to worry about overquota liao.

U-Mobile is riding on which carrier? Maxis or Celcom?
*
umobile has its own 3G/4G coverage (infra).

due to its limited coverage, they also ride with Maxis for any coverage outside of umobile's own coverage. this way, umobile can provide services to nationwide.

no more Celcom story for about 2 years now.

QUOTE
U Mobile activated its 3G Radio Access Networks (RAN) Sharing with Maxis Berhad which was the first such initiative in Asia. This enables U Mobile customers to enjoy data, voice and SMS service in areas where U Mobile does not have its own network. In selected areas where 3G services are still being deployed, U Mobile customers will continue to roam effortlessly on the 2G network which is available via U Mobile’s 2G domestic roaming partnerships with Maxis which is currently serving 95% of the population.

umobile getting smarter.

instead of giving out money, giving quota is more "profitable".

Currently using the mb128 plan where i got 20gb all time.. (Postpaid)
Is it beneficial to me if i terminate it and get the new u128 plan where  it is 10+20gb (off peak) ?

And so , once dec2015 pass.. Dies that mean that i would need to pay rm128 just for 10gb.
*
yes, the RM128 plan price will remain.

the extra 20GB is bonus quota.

I need suggestion . Rigt now i enjoy 20gb for all period. I just want to know is it beneficiae for me to change to the new mb128 plan. Since the i umobile survice is getting slower especially in the off period

Since in the long run. I think that rm128 for 10gb is very expensive compare to the current plan im using
*
that depends on your usage.

is your current 20GB plan enough for a month? how many times you finished the quota? if not frequent, dont bother to change.

current MB128 plan (10+20GB) is more suitable to new customers, but as u said, in long run, it'll drop to 10GB.

however, the free 20GB quota will last until 31 Dec 2015, that's 20GB X 15 months (Oct'14 -> Dec'15) = 300GB free brows.gif

of course, by the time you reach Dec 2015, there could be other better, newer, attractive promotions liao; either from umobile or other telcos (if those big 3s willing to drop their pants)! sweat.gif

Hi all, want to ask about service termination.

Is there anyway for me to terminate the postpaid internet service without having to visit any umobile center? cos I'm not allowed to go to public places due to medical reason in the next couple of months... unsure.gif
*
you can try asking for voluntary suspension, that means to voluntary (requested by you) suspend your account due to your unavailability/medical reasons (usually due to going overseas, holiday, etc.) to present yourself at service center for account/service termination.

ask them will there be ANY charges during voluntary suspension, e.g. most importantly, will the monthly subscription fee keep charging to your bill? if NO subscription fee charged to your bill, then can consider to suspend it.

this is a good method for temporary, but please do remember thats a risk that they might misuse your number as u put the number as suspension for long time, very sad to tell 1 forumer here kena cheated when his line kena misused.

not sure whether the telco staff, or the professional IT hack his sims and able to use his number to make call while his card not functioning during that time, calling his mom and asking for money for a reason, I am not clear with the detail but I am sure this happens, there are different methods too ( call you to verify something and ask u to click ur # key or any numbers combination, sending u virus thru whatsapp wechat ... ), and now I suspect the telco staff also doing same thing to hack the line and pass to the bad guys to do the shit thing, please guys be careful ya blush.gif
*
correct. voluntary suspension is good for short-term, not for very long period.

most users dont know that if you dont pay bills (even you dont USE the service), the billing keeps charging every month (postpaid)! yes, dont pay until outstanding, they suspend your service, but billing will still keep charging.

telcos/ISPs not doing charity work. they're in for business, making money from you AS LONG AS you're in service with them (i.e. account ACTIVE).

if dont need to use anymore, TERMINATE the account.

i dont have prepaid, not sure how's the self care looks like, and whether there's pay bill module inside or not.

if you're interested to use amex with prepaid reload, easiest is buy reload pin at tesco.
