IVs are only concerned with people who battle competitively in the community, like tournaments or jst battling with friends. the reason people IV breed is to make their pokemon the best of the best, and it is not easy. and u should give natures according to what kind of pokemon and IVs they have.

Yeah. It's true that if you wanna go competitive, a perfect IV team is a necessity. But Gen VI revamped the breeding mechanic such that anyone with the know-how can breed a perfect IV team with the correct natures when doing so can be a real frustration in previous gens.

That being said, do not get discouraged if your friend or the person you're battling has a team of Pokemon with perfect IVs. You have to remember that even when they have Pokemon with good stats, a bad strategy in their part could cost them the match.
