I wanna ask something.

Is it okay to play a Sand Veil Garchomp and Sand Force Excadrill in battles this Gen? I'm a newbie to competitive, but I know that those two Pokes are Uber in Gen V, but not so sure if they still are in Gen VI.

Just wondering will people say I'm cheating or being unfair for using an ability that's used to be broken (but not sure if it is now).

Well, I'm not really using them for competitive, cuz I was making a team based on favourite Pokemon of my friends (and me), and just so happen that my friend's favourite is Garchomp, and mine is Excadrill.

I consider my team semi-competitive (cuz got good natures, and EV trained correctly, just no perfect IVs).

But lets say I bring them to competition, it's allowed right?

Oh, Ok. But the Smogon tier list for Gen VI isn't out yet right? Cuz I heard that right now Speed Boost Blaziken is consider OU and not Uber, like most Pokemons that are not Legends (But it could be also due to Gale Wings Talonflame use as a Blaziken counter).

So, I was playing Ranking Battle just now, I fought a Japanese player, and his Wash Rotom took down 2 of my Pokemon.
I'm left with Starmie, and did something I didn't think was possible, he made a comeback and I won!!

Here's the battle video: BWPW-WWWW-WWW2-MAJ2

backup shiny klefki(idk how to use this guy, need to exp with it first)
all with correct nature except for axew(neutral) with 2-4iv
yeah..rest from pokemon for now..waste time collecting them only..

Wow, a team of shinies, that is awesome! Also, if I'm not wrong, you can play Prankster Klefki, use it to do status moves like Thunder Wave and Spikes. You can also use it to set up Sunny Day or Rain Dance.

Personally, I think there's no easy way. Of coz if you have shiny or legendary, some people might wanna trade it with 5IV or 6IV pokes.
The best I could get is 4IV, after the experience, guess I am happy with 3IV pokes  nod.gif

Same here. I'm not an expert breeder, but 3-4 IVs or even an 'outstanding potential' remark from the Judge is good enough. I just wanna see the team that I personally raised myself shine in battles (and they do fairly well at Rating Battles so far, I'm having a 50% win rate) smile.gif

Breeding, what would u do actually? Pls explain
*
Ok. Breeding is used to pass down Egg Moves and IVs (Individual Values, or Pokemon genes). Each Pokemon has their own set of IV that can't be changed and ranges from 0-31. However IVs can be passed down to the next generation with the use of Power items (Power Lens, Power Weight etc.) or the Destiny Knot, which is the best thing to used for breeding (guarantee to pass down 5 IVs from either parents), though luck is needed, cuz not all the perfect IVs will be passed down, so be patient smile.gif

To start breeding for team building, it's better that you beat the game, and have access to Kiloude City. You need this for 2 breeding related reasons:
1. The Friend Safari, it has Pokemons that contains minimum of 2 perfect IVs. It helps you save time getting perfect Pokemon. Also you can try to get Dittos with perfect IV stat from other people's Friend Safari, since you'll be using Ditto to breed most of the time, you need good stats.
2. The IV Judge. He's the Ace trainer on the left side of Pokemon Centre in Kiloude City. He'll tell you how much potential (IVs) your Pokemon has. He'll tell you which stat in your Pokemon has the best IVs. Usually when he says 'it's best stat is Attack, it can't be better), it means that your Pokemon has 31 IVs for attack, in short, a perfect stat.

Also, to pass down natures in Pokemon, you'll need an Everstone (meaning the two key items in breeding are Everstone and Destiny Knot). The Pokemon holding the Everstone is 100% certain to pass down his nature to the offspring (e.g. My male Blastoise with Jolly nature breeds with a female Garchomp, the Gible offspring is Jolly nature).

TL:DR, watch this video, it helps a lot. Hope that helps biggrin.gif

Oh god! That helped alot! Thanks. Btw one more question, the nature is decided when u take the egg or when it hatches?
*
Hmm... I'm not very sure what you mean by that. Usually if you don't use Everstone to breed two Pokemons, the nature of the Pokemon will be at random (if I'm not wrong), but not sure when is the nature decided though. But if you use Everstone, the offspring is always going to have the same nature as the parent holding the Everstone.

The mega evolution is activated manually during battle.
To activate mega-evo the pokemon must holding the mega-evo stone.

And yes, just let the 2nd charizard hold the mega-stone.
*
One fun fact about Mega-Evolution. If let's say your Mega Pokemon fainted, and you revived it, it's sent out as the normal form and cannot Mega-Evolve (e.g. My Mega Blastoise faints, I used revive, and send him out again, but he appears as normal Blastoise, and the Mega-Evolve option is not available).

Anybody want to trade for some Adamant Nature Gale Wings Fletchlings? I have a five 3Vs, three 4Vs, and two 5Vs.

One 5V Fletchling is 31/31/31/x/31/31, the other is x/31/31/31/31/31.

ei sunny, hp 5iv more important?
*
Yeah, it's more important. But I only have 2 of them (1 of them I'm training, so only one for trade).
The other 5V Fletchling (the one w/o HP) was the parent I use to breed these Fletchlings smile.gif

I'm still a newbie in breeding (just started this Gen), so I'm quite happy with the results biggrin.gif

If my female has hidden ability while the male has normal ability, can I get a HA baby? Or both parents must have HA?

One parent with HA will do, but even so, there's still a chance that the baby will get a normal ability instead of HA.
