Shutting down a thread isn't a solution to resolve dupe. If you truly want to weed out the dupes, perhaps provide a few other alternate options that make sense and let the people here to consider/vote..etc.

As long as discussion is going properly aka the intention is to discuss about the particular property issue, there is needless to close the topic.

So. if there is forumer who is dupe, then please report the forumer as dupe, admin/staff will look into the issue and act accordingly to ban the dupe. 
Just ban the dupe will do the job.

There is a technical solution but I am not sure why lowyat admin does not want to do it.

Hash the public IP of the posts and publish the hash in the post.

If two posts have the same hash, meaning they come from the same IP.

From the hash, people cannot reverse it to obtain the original IP so privacy is still protected.

Yes, that could be one option. However, NATed ip would be seen as one single IP for Lowyat. If a large corporate of several thousand employees would use this forum, it would still be seen as a single IP. People could be posting from PC and phone (3G) at the same time, avoiding this rule of dupe check.

If I manage to show you the post that you indicated CT buyers are low class and Jade Hills buyer are high class, you have to disappear forever from CT Thread.
