For some reason, they tend to keep with the filco style fix-wired + seperated LED indicator. It all started since PLU era, later succeeded by HPE.

Hi sifus,
Just ordered my Quickfire Rapid Red from Dotatech. It's on sale - RM265. Wondering if anyone in Malaysia is selling sound dampeners like these: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/che...-dampeners.html Does anyone here have any experience with these? Will the 0.4mm variety kill the "feel"? Thanks in advance. PS. This is going to be my first mechanical keyboard in... 25 years? Damn I'm old. |

Why don't you enjoy the stock feeling first then only decide you are going to add in dampener or o-ring to destroy the feel? Also, do post some picture here after you get it. It's being a long time since last time I see QFR in this thread. Not sure now what edition already, the overbranding still there? This post has been edited by Human10: Nov 5 2013, 08:43 PM |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 5 2013, 02:59 AM) iKBC F-104 is quite near, except that it is DIY-backlitable and no transparent keycaps. Transparent keycaps are pretty rare, mostly come as stock keycaps for some chinaboards. Or may be I break down into several categories for available options, you judge yourself. Recommended: MX reds, fullsize, USB NKRO but no stock transparent keycaps - iKBC F-104 MX reds, tenkeyless, transparent keycaps, USB NKRO - Noppoo Choc Mid Ferrari Red Edition http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...&id=20026663492 http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...&id=22501844337 Aftermart transparent keycaps - KBC red semitransparent keycaps http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...&id=21129375014 Not very recommended: MX reds, Tenkeyless, transparent keycaps and USB NKRO - Flashget G600 http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...ed55e27b&pm_id= MX black, Tenkeyless, transparent keycaps. no USB NKRO - PLU 87 http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...ed55e27b&pm_id= MX black, fullsize, transparent keycaps, no USB NKRO - PLU 3000 http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...ed55e27b&pm_id= Come with stock transparent keycaps, but the keycaps mounting is off standard, which mean hard to replace, and also no USB NKRO - BenQ KX890 http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...ed55e27b&pm_id= p/s: I am not responsible for any incorrect or mistakes info given. and opps.. sorry for not including my priorities. Yes, USB NKRO is my priority, as well as it being mx red. transparent keycaps tho would be optional since its pretty rare.. was thinking if there's none, i'll buy 1 without it and customize it later tho budget is an issue anyways, thanks for the suggestions! |

hellloooo i'm a newbie here, looking for useful advice.
last month, i decided to buy a mkb for a rhythm game im obsessed with. so i bought my first mkb which is the quickfire TK red switches, i really like the design and the backlights. but unfortunately, the L button didn't function for no reason at all, rarely press that button. so i went back to the store and used to warranty, they said i can exchange my keyboard to a new one, but too bad it's out of stock. so i had to find another keyboard with red switches, so i picked up the steelseries 6gv2 red switches. obviously need to pay extra lah, overall its a good keyboard but its too big for my computer table; unlike the TK, which the design is small and compact. so guys, should i sell 6gv2 then buy another QFR TK or just stay with 6gv2? is 6gv2 more tankier than the TK? because the game i play requires mashing buttons, and i don't want the keys to be spoiled too soon |
