What so special about this card? But I don't often visit Watami though....
*
besides the benefits/discount on watami deals, this card also offers 3% cash rebate for non-watami transactions (except for petrol). smile.gif

How about the Alliance You:nique ? It is also giving 3% rebate...

I just read about this card, the catch to earn the 3% is every quater must spend at least RM3000...
*
for alliance you:nique, it has tiers as below:

expenses range rebate rates
rm0 – rm1,000 0.50%
rm1,001 – rm2,000 1.50%
rm2,001 – rm3,000 3.00%
>rm3,000 0.30%

which means, if you spent rm5,000 using alliance you:nique, you will only get the cash rebate of:
0.50% for the first rm1,000 = rm5
1.50% for the second rm1,000 = rm15
3.00% for the third rm1,000 = rm30
0.30% for the fourth and fifth rm1,000 = rm6.00
total = rm5+rm15+rm30+rm6.00 = rm56.00

but if you spent rm5,000 using aeon watami, you will get the cash rebate of:
rm5,000 x 3% = rm150

conclusion: the total cash rebate you earned using aeon watami is close to triple of the cash rebate you earned using alliance you:nique. whistling.gif

Just wondering if I charge my insurance monthly payment to my OCBC card, will I get the 1% rebate? Are there any better card for this?

Thanks smile.gif
*
yes, the 1% cash back is for anything including insurance.
the better card would be mbb2cards amex but only for certain insurance company.

I compare with other cash back except maybank.. all got lots T&C.
think will still keep this card..
*
yes, you are right:
1) mbb2cards amex 5% but only during weekends
2) aeon watami 3% but minimum rm3k transactions in a quarter
3) alliance you:nique 3% but with tiers
4) hlb wise 10% but on selected categories with min swipes/month

QUOTE(DarReNz @ Dec 9 2013, 02:50 PM)
just make sure you spend less than 5k or else no cash back and for younique need to spend between 2-3k to get 3%
*
sign0006.gif with you:nique, if you spend between rm2-3k doesn't mean that you get the rebate as per rm2-3k x 3%.
you get only 0.5% for the first rm1k, 1.5% for the second rm1k, and 3% for the third rm1k.
means if you spend rm3k, you only get a rebate of rm50 (rm1k x 0.5% + rm1k x 1.5% + rm1k x 3%) instead of rm90 (rm3k x 3%).

expenses range rebate rates
rm0 – rm1,000 0.50%
rm1,001 – rm2,000 1.50%
rm2,001 – rm3,000 3.00%
>rm3,000 0.30%

Hey guys, may I know how many had cut the card already? no chance to get 50 GST at all ? that's pretty sad. My GST due on December, maybe is time to say goodbye !? It's not the OCBC fault, just don't want to pay the sxxai goverment $50.00.
*
due december means already charged or not? if already charged, please call ocbc cs and ask them to absorb it (if you have already spent rm10k or more with the card). if you were successfully offsetting the rm50 gst, then let us know... tongue.gif then many will do the same too. biggrin.gif

Are you referring to the OCBC Ti CC?

If you are, there's no annual fee...Titan is free for life.

i think he meant gst instead of annual fee.

I walked in OCBC and asked if the GST can be waived, the answer is no. My annual spending of this card is around RM33k this year, maybe OCBC want to retain high networth person only, which i am not one. Tata OCBC !! been good to know you. laugh.gif
*
rm33k a year still not good enough for them to retain you? hmm.gif
when you walked-in ocbc and asked, did they check their system and see your transaction history first before answering you? brows.gif

No, I have Streamyx bill & Celcom bills put in autopay OCBC-Ti's system. So, if want to terminate my OCBC-Ti, do I need to inform my streamyx & Celcom? Or just terminate the card and pay the bills via maybank2u or cimbclicks. Sorry for confusing question..
*
if you did not inform streamyx and celcom, they will continue to charge an invalid card (your cancelled card). but after a few attempts, they (streamyx/celcom) will send you a letter that they were unable to charge to your card and ask you to clarify with your bank.

sign0006.gif combo mbb2cards amex (5% weekends; rm50 rebate monthly capped) with aeon watami (3% everyday; rm150 rebate quarterly capped) would be good. thumbup.gif

that subject to availability clause is so so vague.

In the end it might just turn out to be for the first 10 transactions of the day only? lol
*
yeah, who knows the first 10 transactions already max out their available capacity. doh.gif
