That's not the real problem. The real problem is that AEON selling price usually much higher than hypermarket, much more than the 5% rebate.

There are REAL deals in AEON compared to Tesco/Giant/AEON Big.... just buy at places which offers the best deal.
Especially during AEON MEMBER DAY (Buy RM100, get RM10 voucher) or AEON MEMBER FIESTA (Buy RM100, get RM5 voucher)

Ocbc World Master Card offers 1.2% cash back

The annual fee is waived for the first year.

Can subsequent year be waived by calling or write in?

Nobody can give you a definite answer as this is a newly launched card.

As much as we all like it for that additional 0.2%, the annual fee conundrum is what's holding us back

OCBC giving unlimited cash rebate 1.2% for the World Mastercard is only good if u have very BIG one off purchases in addition to heavy regular monthly spending.

Say RM5K spending, OCBC Titanium = 1.0% Cash Back or RM50 and World Card = 1.2% Cash Back or RM60

If you charge the same amount to Alliance Platinum, you'll get Cash Back of RM68 plus can redeem Cash Vouchers of RM20 for total cash value of RM88.

But say, if u charge RM10K to the World Card, your Cash Back is RM120

If u charge to Alliance, your Cash Back is capped at RM68 + Cash Vouchers of RM41 for total cash value of only RM109.

seems to me this WMC is more like a feel good card for the holder only, no real world practicality

hmm have bills to hide from the Mrs? I remember that I was asked this Option when I first applied and I said no. Best way to find out is to call CS.

Another way is to request for bills to be send to office. I know many ppl who do this. The card also kept in office.

I think for first year, you have GST Waiver. Just keep the card until GST Anniversary Date

Got the letter from OCBC bank stating the changes in this card. Gotta respect them for writing it in such way that it sounded like they've revamped the card for the greater good of the world with the 1% for all.

There is a saying that goes "the proof of the pudding is in the eating."

In the case of Credit Cards, the proof is in the addition or attrition rate. I suspect that OCBC will see record attrition in their Titanium Credit Card in addition to massive drop in Card Spend.

Can fool smart k/tars esp with sifus like Gen-X, Ronnie, etc

I did get that sms but all my bills were already paid anyway,

besides, the 'subject to availability' clause makes people doubt their sincerity
