LoL kinda true. I'll probably avoid the HD600 since all the comments were about how laid back they are
But Dire Straits - On The Night was awesome, i think we both agree on that biggrin.gif

Btw, cats > dogs tongue.gif

hehe whatever float your boat biggrin.gif

EDIT: On the night is a very good album, no doubt about that. But everytime I listen to "you and your friend" on my 701...I'm just not getting that same feeling I got from the W5k. The 701 is just not transparent enough to make me feel like im at the concert. Some albums with W5k sounds truely amazing, but many other albums sound wierd with that AT mid range coloration.

Well the HD6XX debate has been here for so long. I've just put it in the "depends on what you listen to" box. I'm a classical nut, so i guess the 650's futher darkness and slower enveloping sound do my loves justice lol.

If you can't get it 100 percent accurate, just get what reproduces the music you love the most accurately as i say.

LOL I heard the grados and HD555 at the same time, really impressive sound production with their burned in 3 years SR60. Simon said that SR60 is easier to drive then HD650 and it may sound worst if wrongly amplified. The SR325i is also very amazed me. It makes me wanted to buy one directly (but they only had SR80 on hand). HD555 is very very "not my type", I just dunno how will HD650 and HD600 do.

yuheng, do you find the hd 555 very noisy, and kind of heavy on the bass.

btw, how did u test the hd 555 at mediaplex. they make me test on a nakamichi lifestyle player.

did u test on the rm 3500 headphone amp inside on of the rooms ?

Lol, sorry yuheng was my friend's account. I just forget to log off tongue.gif. Btw, now I will have my time to explain my trip here. No, I don't think it's noisy, and I only test them on my ipod + little dot M+. (They were amazed why I have this stuff). My impression was it doesn't have as much details on SR60 I heard previously, and I got the feel of the 'laid back' sound sennheiser has, which I don't like them very much. They doesn't have higher end model and ask me to test on their DJ phones, AKG-55 (if not mistaken) LMAO, and they claimed that they are better than 555, because of the higher price, which I just ignore them.
@yeah4.1,
The bass was tighter in grados, IMHO.

you like the sr60 over the 555? you probably wont like the senns at all, nor the k701....I'd recommend that you just get some higher end grado.

The 555 is overall much superior to the sr60, sr125, and pretty much on par with sr225 imho, of course...in a different flavor

Yeah, the price is almost the same between 555 and 225. Anyhow, I really don't like the staff's attitude at mediaplex, this may affect my 'mood' to audition musics.
