hi all, may i ask, what is the next procedure after signing the bank loan offer letter? I had been informed that the solicitor stated in my booking form is not listed in one of the pbb bank panel lists. Called up the WC but they said need time to investigate, and then change the solicitor for DSL owners (pbb bank loan). Walaoooo...zzzz

No worry, I think within this week you shall receive the reply.

So far I only received two replies:

1.) Alliance bank - pre-approve, full flexi, 3 years lock in, No MRTA, RM 200 processing fee, blr - 2.35. High chance to appeal to -2.40 if put 10% of the loan amount in the saving account / FD, WTH!

2.) Hong Leong - approved, full flexi, 3 years lock in, No MRTA, RM 200 processing fee, blr-2.35. Appealing for -2.40. Offered RM 85k for the "promotional renovation package".


Other banks still no reply yet, hopefully not because quota habis... cry.gif

Normally for this type of loan, you will have separate accounts. One account is for your housing loan with BLR-2.35% for maximum 35 years, while the other account for your renovation purpose will have higher rate which usually is BLR+0% with shorter term like 10 years or less than that.

HLB gives Reno loan, but the tenure will be shorter than the Housing Loan; just cross check to ensure you have sufficient repayment capability to take on the reno loan - its like personal loan but bundled with housing loan. The rate could be differrent as well.

Public bank is a bit stringent on the loan package, you may apply the RHB, since Cheryee taikajer also applied this bank as well. brows.gif

Dont think so because they want to jack up the loan size.
The reno loan is higher rate, better income for bank.
But appeal should get you -2.4%
Try and see lo.

I advice you try other banks in the meantime, PBB is quite strict when it comes to loan. I commented on PBB loan earlier - they dont enter price war, so max is -2.4% even for Semi-D.
I told the banker to just process, see how it goes.

Thanks for the information sharing. Perhaps any buyers who interested in the "renovation package", can apply to Hong Leong. Ask all the T&C in detailed though.

For me, it's a liability, and thus I am not interested.

Yes, better income for the banks, that's why if we take it, they can offer better rate, which is actually already being offset. Mind game?
