QUOTE(ktyy0207 @ Jun 4 2014, 11:04 AM) I would like to know if I subscribe auto debit for my monthly mobile phone bill. Would this fulfill the criteria of 12 swipes p.a. to waive my CC annual fee? Most probably consider 11 swipe. The 12th transaction might not come in on time!

QUOTE(Sichiri @ Jun 8 2014, 11:51 AM) Hi all, Quick question, I currently have a Maybank classic mastercard, been using since I've started working. now that my pay is >30k per annum, should I upgrade it to a gold card? What are the benefits of a gold card compared to a classic apart from the limit? For most card issuer, gold card is already their base line product .In fact nowadays the requirement for gold and classic is the same! Amazing isn't it?

QUOTE('ed @ Jun 25 2014, 09:02 PM) Dear sifus, wanna ask, is it possible for other individu to use my credit card when I didn't activate the card yet? Citibank claim the already sent the card to me but I didn't receive it yet myself, I did received an sms from 6xxxx number, asking me to activate the card but I didn't...what should I do next? Call them to cancel it? Thanks in advance~ As long as you do not activate your card.... Others won't be able to use them. Call your bank CS to inform them that you receive the sms that requires you to activate the card but still haven't received the card . Most probably they will cancel the card and issue a new one for you.

QUOTE(paklee @ Jun 26 2014, 04:27 PM) hi all, can i use my credit card to pay off my wife personal loan over the bank counter? (different bank) i dont want to bring cash. thank you. Yes you can. You basically withdraw cash from your credit card to pay loan on the counter. Please take note of the Cash Advance Fee and the 18% interest that comes with it.

QUOTE(glauncher @ Jul 2 2014, 12:17 PM) Hi all, which credit card is the best for online shopping, or is there any? If your income >100k then go for Public Bank Visa Signature. Otherwise your only option is CIMB Cash Back Mastercard.

QUOTE(David900924 @ Jul 4 2014, 04:49 PM) Guys, to apply credit card, must in same company for atleast mininum 6 months? Because maybank JB branch told me, or else HQ will reject any less than 6 months. Maybank is quite strict with its applicants. But not all banks requires you to work with a company for at least six months before you are eligible for their cards. Try UOB as they are reported by lots of LYN forumer (including me) to be lenient.

QUOTE(ellychen4 @ Jul 8 2014, 02:35 PM) Well yeah, those are the top credit cards. Note that if you are still unsure of the latest annual fees along with their interest rates, then I suggest you to read up this. Hope it helps you guys. http://www.imoney.my/credit-cardOver here in LYN , we forumer constantly rate Maybank 2 Cards as the 'must have' card . It is virtually top of our list. How could HSBC cards overtake it in the rating? I don't understand

QUOTE(avineshhh @ Jul 8 2014, 10:44 PM) Okay thank you for explaining but what about cimb bank? will they offer FD pledging for their cards and does Maybank provide complimentary CC for their Premier Wealth acc holder? I'm quite sure that all local banks do process FD pledge. Try ask the bank issuer that you are interested in because all these while the banks are really quiet about pledging FD for credit cards and they do not market their product this way.

QUOTE(chrisderick88 @ Jul 13 2014, 08:46 PM) ya. well, the thing is i dont spend that much (still single, nothing much to buy....). UOB looks like the right one. 5% on weekdays as well, and citibank cashback platinum I dont have the criteria to get yet (sad.) Thanks guy! But the 900k monthly quota set by UOB usually runs out by the 15th of every month....so the card is pretty much useless for the later part of the month !

QUOTE(iamWill @ Jul 22 2014, 09:42 PM) Not even with pledging FD or rental income? You need to supply income documents nowadays even when you pledge FD, however the details in it will not affect the outcome of the application. But if don't submit, chances are your application will be unsuccessful. BTW, for rental income, the rental agreement is regarded as a proof of income.

QUOTE(party @ Jul 30 2014, 09:44 PM) Thanks... Another question..Citibank have Balance Conversion and Flexi Payment Plan. If I cash advance..can I then change the oustanding with Balance Conversion or Flexi Payment Plan? Already cash advance due to emergency few days ago. I know about dial-for-cash but cant wait that long. Bal Conv & FPP is only applicable for retail trnx only. Cash advance do not qualify!

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Oct 9 2014, 10:06 PM) My M2visa just got affected too. Interesting because most of the fraud cases belonged to Amex. May I know the name of the merchants? Most probably they are merchant based in USA. Their payment gateway still don't support MSOS or similar protocol. Somebody could just enter a valid malaysian card number and expiry date for payment processing ... And a fraud trnx is approved in America!

Ya.. very insecure. As long as America do not fully implement VbV/securecode , everybody is vulnerable to fraud , as far as online trnx is concern.
