QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Oct 12 2014, 10:36 PM) I see, didnt know that. Umm not so sure, left the receipt in my car. Why would it be someone else receipt? Shouldn't it be mine since after I fill only it print the receipt? Not so sure, first time paying using the pump, normally I just pay by cash The receipt should tell whose card is used, yours or other. Check the card last few number to see if it is yours.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 22 2014, 07:50 PM) Hi, I want to ask, if I want to apply for Maybank2 Gold card and I am not working (still studying) but I have ASG and FD total >Rm50k, can I use that to apply for Maybank2 Gold card? I am thinking of going to midvalley and apply. Bring photocopies of FD certs + ASG book What are my chances? Thank You Unless you pledge your FD, there is no other way to get credit cards. As you are still studying, you have no income documents to support your application so there is no doubt, your application will be much harder than normal to be approved. But if you do apply, please keep us inform whether your application is successful or not.

QUOTE(iXora.ix @ Nov 9 2014, 09:58 PM) Hi guys. I'm student. I read somewhere that cc can be apply by pledging a fixed deposit. So let say I have pledge my fd and I have fixed monthly income ( sponsorship allowance), does any chance my application being accepted? Thank You Usually students don't stand much chance even you pledge FD. Unless you can produce salary slip or EPF statement in your application.

QUOTE(nicodemus88 @ Dec 3 2014, 12:48 PM) Hi forumers... I am planning to purchase a new laptop from Malaysia Apple Store using a Public Bank VISA Gold credit card. I noticed in Public Bank's website there is this Zero Interest Installment Plan. Question: Can I use the credit card to purchase the merchandise, then repay back my credit card debt via installment? I read somewhere that we can contact the bank and ask for this service. Anyone done this before? Would appreciate some feedback here... Thanks a lot! Yes... thru PB Flexipay. 0% Interest for 12 months. Minimum amount is RM2k.

QUOTE(ufochmpion2003 @ Dec 8 2014, 07:00 PM) HI all , whats the best credit for 24k annual income salary and first time user ? thx The best card for a first timer, IMO will be OCBC Blue/Pink Mastercard. Not the best in terms of benefit, at least it is simple to use. Whatever you spend, you get 1% back.

QUOTE(bash90 @ Jan 26 2015, 10:52 AM) Thank you for your recommendation. Is there any difference between card centre at 1 Utama and KLCC? Does 1 Utama process faster? By the way, I just went to maybank KLCC branch and the lady at the CC application counter said i'm not elligible saying you need basic pay 2.5k above and they dont count gross pay. Is this true or the lady just dont want layan and look down on my pay? Can i request for the application to be process first? Any experienced maybank CC holder with 1.5k basic can verify this? The lady is not telling the truth. There are ways even for minimum wage earner to get this card. If you are interested in getting this card and will be willing to open a FD and pledge it for the card, you might just get it.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Mar 27 2015, 10:48 PM) how's the procedures to get mbb cc via fd pledging? Actually it is just like a normal application, you just attach your FD on top of your application. And of course, you have to apply at your FD acct home branch and a experienced financial executive to work out the formalities. After you apply, wait for the offer letter to arrive. After you return the offer letter to MBB, you will get your card in 3-4 days.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Mar 28 2015, 03:24 AM) 1) if my fd is done in m2u (no home branch) so cannot? 2) how to get the experienced exec to work out? some staff just said there is no such thing. 3) what's the purpose of giving us the offer letter and then to pass back to mbb? why can't they just process it straight away? Sorry for the late reply. With regard to your question, the application can only be made at FD home branch. M2U based or FD from other branch are not accepted. Q2 When u are at the branch, you tell the exec that you want to pledge FD for CC and ask him/her what is the minimum required amount. If he/she can answer this question then he got the necessary experience. Some exec will think really hard, some will even ask his colleague, some won't answer your question. So in that case you have met an inexperience exec. Q3 This letter of offer serves two purposes. One, to inform you about the application is successful. Two, to serve as an agreement on the further T&C imposed on the applicant.

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Apr 27 2015, 05:29 PM) Recently with no gst... looks worth to get more card to use and activate and get freebies.. I had so far pledge fd for maybank n hong leong bank for credit card.. both of the bank charge me rm10 for stamping. so lately got public bank promo.. free phone n watch n so on.. So i went to get freebies again by placing some fd to get card again.. to my shock.. public bank say the fee is not rm10 stamping.. it is 5% of the total limit.. if u want place 10k, then charge 5% as stamp duty, which is rm50 and on top of that, need to make a banker cheque for dunno wad reason and charge rm5.xx I was like... waddaffffd ???? Anyone encounter this same thing with this kiam aap bank ???? Can share my experience with you. Last year, my initial application for PBB VS is unsuccessful. Tried appeal thru my cousin , a branch manager and offered him to pledge if my appeal is overruled. He say he try his best to recommend but in case I really need to pledge, it will be 0.5% of my FD value. Luckily, my appeal was upheld and do not need to pledge.
