So how's your current case going on now? Hope you get refunded for 1 year smile.gif

Refund 1 year, either wait for them to issue cheque or grab any item then deduct accordingly.

They blame HP did not inform them, saying its 1 year international and 1 year local. But demo still showing 1 year doh.gif

Hi,

i purchased the computer at january...so by right the warranty is from january 2014 to january 2016...

However, the HP auto-warranty thingy indicates that my warranty is from sept 2013 to october 2015..which i believe is the date where this laptop is delivered to the vendor..

so there's a 2-3 months difference (which is not a lot), is there any way to correct this?..or juz ignore it and if there's any problem, just use the invoice/reciept as evidence?...

anyone facing similar problem? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

60 decibels is about as loud as someone talking normally to you face to face.

Sounds soft? But no, 60 decibels is pretty damn loud already. Like I said, it's like a mini hair dryer...

So what's your next course of action? smile.gif

I suggest you complain to the manager about the warranty issue and the misinformation by the HN staff regarding the extension of warranty that you have to purchase it on the spot or the offer is forfeited sweat.gif

Btw, here's a screenshot of my laptop. Clearly shows 2 years warranty. 3/1/2014 is the date I bought from Harvey Norman smile.gif

nah wasting my time, just grab the refund and ciao their reply is all standard and there is no customer service in their dictionary if you like.

even if you complaint through the official channel it still goes back to the store and the same guy will handle you with the same excuse. but credit to the guy he did not lose his temper on me despite me giving him so tough words.

yup, i believe he is the supervisor for IT products in IPC. The other day i saw him sort of consult another chinese lady but i only saw her once.

Since they offer me the option of refund (not forced to buy another product) i just let it be.

white means the battery is fully charge.
yellow means the battery is charging.

i bought this PC laptop yesterday at Malacca MITC yesterday during PC EXPO fair. Silver Colour. I bought it at price of RM1759, with some free gifts such as HP Wireless Optical Mouse, HP Headset, HP Notebook Backpack , HP Notebook Sleeve, mousepad + keyboard cover rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif

The retailer is Navotech. They installed Window 8 on the spot but i was asked to send my PC Laptop to any of their branch to install Kingsoft and Avira software.

Super satisfied with this laptop and worth buying. The warranty is 2 years. They offered me to extend the warranty period additional 2 years at price of RM49 @ Rm59 but i didnt take it.

Hmmm that's kinda cheap. A great deal!

Oh btw, try to stress test your laptop with any intensive games or run benchmarks and let us know if the fan speed is too loud or not.

My lappy still at Service Centre. Been 2 weeks already vmad.gif

Well, if it's on idle or when you're doing non-intensive work, it's very quiet which is normal.

But what's ABNORMAL is the incredibly loud fan speed when doing intensive work like playing games or running benchmarks, basically stressing the CPU and GPU. Do check it if you can, I sent my laptop because of this smile.gif

HP Service Centre called me up and said that my laptop has been fitted with a new exhaust fan but the problem is still there. He did also say that it's quite "normal".

Le Sigh. Just have to live with it I guess, will collect it back tomorrow and replace the HDD with a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD and upgrade the ram to 8GB.
