hmm stumble upon this when i am checking out Lenovo S410P.

Harvey Norman is now selling this at 1899, 0 charge on card and 12 months installment.

S410P I5-4200 4GB 500GB NV GT720 2GB 14" W8

N059TX/060TX I5-4200 4GB 750GB NV GT740 2GB 14" WIN 8

Throw in the additional charges imposed by resellers on the S410-P the difference in price is less than 100 bucks, i do get more in HDD and graphic card. hmm.gif

ya but make sure you have this as back up. i was in the IPC store on tuesday they told me no promo selling 1999. I insist they are advertising 1899 only the fella go check and confirm. Some more want to pressure me say today only but their brochure / advert says valid till 3rd Jan.

You plan to buy the extended warranty?200+ for 2 years and 400+ for 4 years. The only stumbling block from me committing to this is HP reliability. sweat.gif

ya i read back earlier a forummer here also claimed 2 years from HP, also purchased via Harvey Norman.

Let me check it out again later, hate those salesman know nothing about their product vmad.gif

cheers to you bro -kytz-, i will not be posting with this baby if it's not you because i really gave up looking where else they have this in stock.

the guy in IPC still recognize me as i went yesterday, saying the stock only arrived this morning. See this is the part i really cannot stand - stock come in today they don't know yesterday? And they didn't even bother to take my number so they can inform me when it comes in.

despite the weight i quite like the slim design, what i hate the most is the mousepad

-kytz- can you help confirm the warranty period with HP?

I filed in a complaint on HN IPC because they told me 1 year warranty and i purchased 4 yrs extension. When i register my laptop with HP at home it show warranty till 2016 (Means 2 years by HP)

First HN IPC called to aplogize blaming HP, says they don't know. I f them back saying you misinform your buyer i don't give a darn whether HP misinform you or what. Offer me refund 1 year warranty but not in cash, have to buy something from them. I straight f back saying you guys don't know what you sell. Now the fella tell me he called HP its 1 year only. If i go back double check still 2 years they are gonna get serious F from me.

Second thing i haven't complaint and i just realized is that HN allow their customer to purchase warranty extension within 14 days of purchase. They told me on the spot either get it or forget it.

Refund 1 year, either wait for them to issue cheque or grab any item then deduct accordingly.

They blame HP did not inform them, saying its 1 year international and 1 year local. But demo still showing 1 year doh.gif

nah wasting my time, just grab the refund and ciao their reply is all standard and there is no customer service in their dictionary if you like.

even if you complaint through the official channel it still goes back to the store and the same guy will handle you with the same excuse. but credit to the guy he did not lose his temper on me despite me giving him so tough words.

yup, i believe he is the supervisor for IT products in IPC. The other day i saw him sort of consult another chinese lady but i only saw her once.

Since they offer me the option of refund (not forced to buy another product) i just let it be.
