Yes, the aosp calendar is green in colour for the icon in app drawer/app section.

Just install the Google Calendar from Google Play, it is the same as stock ROM calendar.

Yes just install a compatible dialler app from Google Play Store so you can reload and use USSD.

If I recall correctly, it works on old Nexus 7, since it doesn't work on new Nexus 7, the other way to have it enabled is to modify the framework and have it set to true when building the ROM, this requires some skills though, try search in xda forum and see if someone has successfully done it.

I am assuming you are talking about old Nexus 7 since the Nexus 7 (2013) is still new.

As screen cracking is not under warranty, so it doesn't matter whether it is still under warranty or not, bring it to nearest Asus Service Center and the screen replacement is RM430(if the price is still the same).

You need to root it and install stickmount(if you are on stock ROM) to use pendrive.

In Qualcomm processor, there is a touchboost feature which will boost your CPU frequency to 1026MHz for 10 seconds(not sure 10 or 8) when you touch the screen, not all cores are online if it is not needed, that's why you see only 2 cores running when you only run Trickster Mod. Running all cores at all time will just consume the battery juice, the mpdecision in this chip will monitor which core to run when using different apps.

I am using this kernel too and running stock CPU frequency, stock GPU frequency, a little undervolt, s2w/s2s enabled, fsync disabled, fastcharge enabled etc.

This app can have a overlay on your screen and let you know which core is running.

Yes there is a modded native messaging app on xda forum, but always do a nandroid backup before doing this so you can restore it if you have done something wrong.

Hangout app in the coming Android 4.4 will have SMS/MMS function with it so I think it will be easier for us to send SMS/MMS on Nexus 7 after it gets released later this month.

I included some rooting tools in first page, it's a not full guide but the external link you click(mostly XDA link) will have some tutorials on how to use it, do check out.

Reminder: Unlocking bootloader will wipe your device.

Some basic steps:
1. Download toolkit from XDA forum.
2. Install the adb driver.
3. Connect your device to your computer.
4. Use the "1 click all" option if you are using mskip's toolkit to do the rest of the things for you including unlocking bootloader, rooting, installing busybox etc.
5. Let the toolkit finishes all the works for you and it will show you it has done and enjoy your device.

Tested but no significant difference between low and high, frame rate is still as good as low setting.

Mine is WiFi unit, GPS issue is fixed by Google in the last update for my unit, multitouch issue still here, don't have random reboot issue since first day I got it.

And there is an annoying issue where the static/buzz sound coming out from back speaker when you have your volume tuned at 10%/20%, most obvious is when you plug in your unit to a charger. This seems to affect most of the units in xda forum.
