QUOTE(ckweng @ May 31 2016, 07:12 PM) May I know how to set the SMS alert threshold on online banking? I've just activated SMS Banking but couldn't find where to set the threshold under Alert Settings. Thanks in advance! Select Manage your alerts > Select credit card > View alerts > Select credit card > Select customize alert conditions > Click Transaction Alert Primary / Supplementary Card > Then you will see it.

QUOTE(tonytyk @ May 31 2016, 07:57 PM) What is the minimum amount cardholder can set? QUOTE(ckweng @ May 31 2016, 08:03 PM) As stated in the threshold setting page, the minimum amount is RM250. If i'm not mistaken, I think earlier somebody reported that they managed to receive SMS alert on transactions below RM250. I did. QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ May 23 2016, 06:35 PM) Although you can set it to a minimum of RM250 in the online banking, I still receive SMS alerts whenever I have transactions below RM250.

Received call of SC telemarketing department today, the guy was talking about this "Income Protector Plan" from MSIG where they work together with SC. Said it was a one-time-only sign up invitation call. Straight away I rejected. Did anyone else receive the same call?

QUOTE(joshuaa85 @ Jun 2 2016, 07:24 PM) may I know for May cash rebates, how to redeem via their online banking ? I tried to explore but couldn't find. newbie for scb gold cashback. Once logged in, click on your credit card number, look for online reward, it will bring you to another screen, select redeem cash and it will show how much cashback you have, from there you may redeem it.

QUOTE(sendohz @ Jun 3 2016, 02:43 PM) Just got my card approved. Just wanted to know if retail purchases is equal to 'general' purchases? Or is there any specific set of MCC for retail categories? As long as not petrol or insurance payment, then you will get rebate.

Or like hlb card, swipe three times in weekday, and first come first serve in weekend dining? Thanz The first to swipe in dining after fulfilled the min RM500. Not similar to HLB promo, you might want to read the T&C first. https://www.sc.com/global/av/my-dining-cash...paign-final.pdf

QUOTE(mamamia @ Jun 3 2016, 08:06 PM) Mind to quote the tnc? I read through cant find it.. Not sure is it I overlook.. Ok, now I get what you mean. The T&C quoted: QUOTE b) Spend the minimum amount of RM500 in any retail transactions (whether local or international) excluding cash advances per Campaign Month using their SCBMB Card during the Campaign Period (“Minimum Spend Criteria”) c) Customer stands a chance to receive CashBack up to 18.88% of the amount transacted (“CashBack”) for dining This means the minimum spend of RM500 can be also allocated for dining category, so to enjoy 18.88% cashback you just need to spend RM500 to RM529.66 for dining, which is better than I thought.

QUOTE(MGM @ Jun 3 2016, 08:49 PM) This is my understanding too, nearly sidetrack by your post2035. But if you are going to maximize RM1500 spending per month, then it wont be much different.

QUOTE(sendohz @ Jun 11 2016, 11:55 AM) Ermm but it was stated there exclude petrol and insurance payment. Therefore is insurance payment eligible for cashback? I will reply here instead. Let me give you a clear picture: To maximize cashback of so-called 5%, you would need to fulfill RM1500 of retail spending to get RM50 per month. SCB suggested that you can spend RM1000 on retail transactions, and RM500 on petrol and insurance. This way, you spent RM1500 for all types of transactions and got RM50 back, so indirectly you also get 3.33% cashback for insurance too.

QUOTE(HenryJay @ Jun 15 2016, 03:00 PM) Hi all, May I ask if you got rejected before for applied credit card, is it within 3 months, if you apply again, your application will be rejected automatically? Unless you have proof of income increment or settlement of other loan, it will be rejected most of the time.
