There is an unlocked BIOS for R9-290X. (Source)
Apparent AMD set the voltage quite high = lots of heat. Using the PT1.rom on air, allows voltage tweaking and by lowering it to 1.15v = much lower temps & stable boost @ 1GHz. Alternately, there is a thread over @ Overclock.net that details overvolt/overclock = undervolt/underclock. Just be weeeeeerry careful.  |

Based on previous history pricing, when reached Malaysia the card it will be 200-300 more expensive than oversea price.
