No, I did not. Your post a few post backs says that 280X has mantle support so it is better than 7000 series. The fella above stated that 7000 series has it as well, and you ask him to do his homework via google. I just pointed out that you were the one who did not do his homework and didn't realize that 7000 series has Mantle support as well.

There is an unlocked BIOS for R9-290X. (Source)

Apparent AMD set the voltage quite high = lots of heat.
Using the PT1.rom on air, allows voltage tweaking and by lowering it to 1.15v = much lower temps & stable boost @ 1GHz.


Alternately, there is a thread over @ Overclock.net that details overvolt/overclock = undervolt/underclock.

Just be weeeeeerry careful. sweat.gif

biggrin.gif rclxms.gif no need... my Load Temp is just 70-75C noise is 45dB and oh my 3Dmark firestrike score beat the guy on that review by 400+ point biggrin.gif but thx for posting i wont download any unlock bios may or may not sabotaj my GPu..

Based on previous history pricing, when reached Malaysia the card it will be 200-300 more expensive than oversea price.
