for sure people will go for R9...mayb if reduce a bit can boost up clearing 7970...

If I have RM1000, i will not bother getting a 2 year old card.. Want games, just buy from Steam..

Or wait for Maxwell next year. 7000 series will be obsolete by then (if the price is right).

However, kepler architecture is early in terms of performance. AMD is lagging behind at least 9 months, GTX Titan is old, but they release it and still the fastest card at that time. The advantage is still at nvidia hands. The titan should be 680, but there is no real reason to release it when they are ahead in terms of performance with a tone down spec of GK104, and GK110 for compute graphics only.
