Hi all, I've read the post about using Maybankard 2 for the Agoda-Maybank promo. The last paragraph on that post said that the Visa/Mastercard is better compared to the Amex for this promo. However, can someone elaborate more on the advantage of Visa/Mastercard? Because from what I understand, using Amex will yield 5x TP, and isn't that better? Is it related to the exchange rate between Visa/Mastercard and Amex? What if we choose MYR as the currency option? Will there still be any exchange rate enforced to the transaction?

Actually saw this promo in maybank singapore website, but i do not have their card, lucky is that website mentioned maybank malaysia credit card also applicable for the promo.

Cons:

don't knw how they convert the currency, agoda usd -> maybank sg, sgd -> maybank my, myr ?

Subject to weekend approval on amex transaction for the 7.5% rebate.

It is possible to get both the insider and MBB 7% discounts together, I've done it before. I will not share the exact steps but it's not very hard to figure out the sequence in order to stack the discounts.
