I think this is not secure at all. For those who are using anti-theft apps, like mine, Creberus...it's quite useless if somebody can power off the device.

Well,they can't escape from Cerberus by factory reset and all,unless they wipe the sdcard folder and knows how to unroot the phone

Hi guys, I need the experts help.

My story :

I plugged in a car charger in my Nexus 4. After a while it was off. When I tried turning on, it cant be powered on!
Then when I got back home & used the wall charger, the RED LIGHT of death was blinking. I did some search & followed the methods, including from xda but it can never be turned on!

What shall I do, any repair place that I can bring my phone to be resurrected?

Infamous Red Light Of Death. That's why I afraid to plug into car charger. Read and saw what happened to some people. Still on warranty? Why not sent it for warranty?

Chill, Just go home and charge it(using LG charging adapter) for couples hours like 4-8hours, then try to boot it again.

Reason, possible your car charger unable to charge your Nexus 4 + your battery already miscalibrate. So is fall under 0% of battery, give it a try before further.

They only charge your back glass for money, the power button wont charge you since you still in the period of warranty.

Done a dirty upgrade using PAC rom,however even the signal doesn't show blue it still can connect? What could be the cause?

Thanks for ur prompt reply. I tried charging nearly 6 hours & reboot, still the same. Than I opened the back cover removed the battery & reconnected it & rebooted, still no response.

Beside looking at the serial number, is there other way to check it via phone?
