Dude, can't you just ask for the price in order sizes of 10, 50 & 100 units?I'm sure it's possible. At least then, we'll have a rough idea of what prices to expect. I'm not sure many us would want to say "YES" now & later having to pay an exhobirant price for the switches, right? Hope you could just find out 1st. Then the orders should start coming in smoothly |

QUOTE(lolhalol @ Jun 20 2006, 11:05 AM) So Mr. lolhalol, any updates for us?OK, back to SwithcMods, anyone actually thought about actually wiring these switches? As for as I know, the LED's within the illuminated versions of these swithces are standard 5v runners. I think it involves powering 2 extra feet at the base of the switches. Correct me if I'm wrong, OK? And I think the accessory below makes a good addition to having these switches. --> Switch Mounting Plate What say you guys? Go original or retail (as above)? |

Yeah u can power it this way.QUOTE(GoldenHawk @ Jun 23 2006, 08:30 AM) OK, back to SwithcMods, anyone actually thought about actually wiring these switches? As for as I know, the LED's within the illuminated versions of these swithces are standard 5v runners. I think it involves powering 2 extra feet at the base of the switches. Correct me if I'm wrong, OK? Yes there's another two pins for powering the illumination LED. Total of 4 pins. And I think the accessory below makes a good addition to having these switches. --> Switch Mounting Plate The LED stays on all the time provided it is powered. You better limit the power u're supplying to it via a resistor, 5v's from our rails may be a bit too much. Typical LED's require 3v. You won't wanna burn out that expensive switch. I hope the LED's replaceable? I think i'm definately out on the illuminated ones. I'm gonna need 4 switches for my light bus, and even if we can get RM50 a piece, its gonna cost me a massive RM200. yikes. This post has been edited by MetalZone: Jun 23 2006, 10:37 PM |

And one thing i worried is space clearance lolx Installing the power switch souldn't be much of a problem. Just remove the wires from the current switch & fit or solder them to the new switch's leads. There are no polarity concerns with these switches. As for clearence, it depends on what type of casing/switches you're using now. Under most circumstances, there would be some amount of modifications needed in order to accomodate these switches. Worst case scenario, you'll have to utilize one of your 3.5"/5.25" bays to hold the switch(es) |

Here's another switch-type which you guys might find interesting:
--> Fighter Switch There seems to be someone to contact on the page. Anyone in Taiwan now? Anyway, anyone got any suggestions on where these type of switches would look nice on the case? OR has anyone done mods with these switches before? Come on guys! |
