while we're gonna die anyway...
let me also introduce you the veloflex... corsa 23 or the carbon 23 (rival to corsa cx tub)... they are the lynskey's of italian tire makers... basically the bunch of fools who told vittoria to f@k off when they decided to go asian and open their own tire making biz... that, or buy michellin pro 4 comp service course cos GP4000 is a lame ass tire (we jus dun have choice).. or if you have the dough... the soon to be launched limited service course... or if you really really really really really have the dough... then buy a set of tubs and stick the hutchinson pro tour tubs to it... should be jus tipping 4 figures if you can still find it...non-vulcanized aged tubs are like vintage 82' lafite... or if you really really really really really really (jus 1 more really only lar) have the dough... FMB hand made cotton tubulars will do fine too... the choice of all roubaix champs... ![]() This post has been edited by butthead: Nov 12 2013, 07:49 PM |

Hurm veloflex seems nice. 320tpi same like corsa cx. But a bit expensive.
What is the super duper clincher tyre available? The best money can buy? Michelin? |

QUOTE(butthead @ Nov 12 2013, 07:17 PM) actually.. the question should not be about weight... it should be about decreased rolling resistance how can u have ultralightweight AND performance????for example.. vittoria latex road tube is about 75gr http://www.vittoria.com/product/inner-tubes/ michellin aircomp latex is about 80gr http://www.michelinbicycletire.com/micheli...rcomplatex.view conti race 28 (the standard butyl one) is about 105gr (this is retailed at RM26) conti race 28 light is about 65gr (haven't seen it, but should be latex pricing) and the most extreme conti supersonic is 50gr (mind, you this is a RM70++ tube in KH) and it is known to just puncture very easily as it is ultrathin butyl http://www.conti-online.com/www/download/b...ad/Tubes_en.pdf latex is better in rolling resistance and is less prone to pinch flats (not punctures but pinch flats)... and as rumor suggest, it is comfier even at higher pressures because the material expands more easily than the harder butyl tubes... and to further prove it's the better choice... it is the tube that is sewn into most high end tubulars... you say, is weight or rolling resistance more important? and fug man... 20 grams dun count lar... that fella not at that level man... when one start, shaving 3 grams off a skewer, boring out the stem and sawing and filing seatpost only start telling me 20 grams is important to... else, dun "ngiow" on small numbers... it makes jack shit difference when it punctures and worst.. the price of replacing the tubes... i jus buy maxxis tubes bro.. sorry... |

QUOTE(mrjgx @ Nov 12 2013, 08:09 PM) Hurm veloflex seems nice. 320tpi same like corsa cx. But a bit expensive. that is most likely a tubular lar... dun waste your time on clincher already... it's no hope one... at least go tubeless...What is the super duper clincher tyre available? The best money can buy? Michelin? the veloflex should be quite affordable... let me go check it out when i have the time.. they are already here in malaysia... QUOTE(miaopurr @ Nov 12 2013, 09:07 PM) by going to an alternate universe...QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Nov 12 2013, 09:16 PM) shit dude...feet also u wanna f@k... you are seriously one sick weirdo...go away with your foot fetish...QUOTE(malleus @ Nov 12 2013, 09:16 PM) front uses one, back uses the other. so you get ultralight weight + performance that's like saying eating your own defecate and you'll never ever run out of food or need to worry about sustenance anymore..how well it'll work in practice is another story |
