Guys...recent issues with my car....when gear at P, there is "klak klak" sound whenever i press brake pedal..hv any of u counter with this problem?i went to tceas juz now but they said its normal..i did mention to them there is no sound before this but they still insist said its normal for almera...

NCD applies to 1 vehicle which earn it only. However, it can be transferred to another vehicle. Normally, NCD will be transferred to a more expensive vehicle especially when you have 55% NCD as you will have maximun savings.

when you trasfer the NCD, you will have to top up the unexpired portion of the vehicle you are transferring from. e.g. say insurance for you current vehicle is RM 1,000 & you have 6 months to go before expiry. You you will need to pay your current insurance company RM 275 ($1000 x 55% = 550/ 6 months).

NCD is built up over time when you have no cliam on that policy.

i.e.

After 1st yr 25% discount for renewal of 2nd yr insurance
After 2nd yr 30%
After 3rd yr 38.33%
After 4th yr 45%
After 5 or more yrs 55% (maximum)

allow me answer this klak klak issues.

gear at p klak. when u press break, it will release the p gear lock to release the gear enable you to change the gear knob from.p.

when u on air con, especially cold start in morning. huge klak sound indicate opening air con vent valve. if no klak sound means kong.

another issues i have is the petrol cap pull sometime not working. it doesnt release fully when pull. so it jam. need to press to lock the cap and pull again. kina annoying especially u worried pulling too hard will snap the cable.

when i trade in my old car i aso jus renew the old car insurance. the agent mentioned he will cancel the old insurance. meaning i shld get back some amount ? on top the new car ncd right?

Is it a constant klak klak sound when gear at P and idling? After shift gear still got sound?

I just my got Almera today. Twilight Grey color. So far everything is good.
Not so noisy. Light steering.

But will observe the klak klak sound from outside of the car. Petrol cap pull from inside.
Driver pillar sound when on bumpy road.

Will report if I experience the same.

klak klak only when u press break klak once n pull knob from p klak.

if knob still at one of the gear. shld not be any klak klak klak.

bro...driver pillar wnt b so obvious...dashboard is the obvious sound it wil produce whn on bumpy road....close ur radio n listen it bro....mayb new car wnt b having issue lik tis bt after sometime it will b out...mine jus after 1 month and sound start coming out...nt sure wats de issue...jus wanna hear frm others did anyone having the same issue here oso...whn driving bumpy road n close radio did u guys heard of somethin loosen inside dashboard...de sound wil b location nearby centre of dashboard which means nearby radio that side.

Just wondering if anyone has installed those brake / ignition lock with the "Y" socket (plug & play, no cutting of wires) like Lock Tech / Lock Tact and gone for your 1k, 5k or 10k service after that ? Any issues from the SC on warranty ?

im 1 of it....seriously they did nt do things well...oni 1 exhaust tip needed me to driv bak for 2 times...now i guess aft 3rd service i will leave SC alrd...
