QUOTE(zizan01 @ Dec 20 2013, 03:23 PM) mine before 1st service 7.2L fc ... but after that is 7.3L fc... i jus went 1k service . they gave castrol grx 15w 40. i did it at johor sc.i wonder why etcm using 15w 50 engine oil for run in??? the owner manual recommended 10w 30 engine oil... there are many types of engine oil... maybe when they said that for run in better used the thicker mineral oil... and i can agree with them. but 15w 50 for me is to thicker and this wil result for high fc ... because the engine will struggle to running and feel berat meh...then you will push the paddle more to accelarate...there are many types of viscosity of oil...maybe they can used 10w 40... are they any suggestion box.. when customer ask whether they can bring their own engine oil...the SA say can but you must fill a form that said they will not responsible if anything happen to the car...it not a user friendly policy...because they dont provide a variety types of engine oil for customer to choice... customer wanted to well kept their own car... but they dont have choice but to follow SOP... this types of marketing not good laah... can anybody tell me if their is other service centre that provide a variety types of engine oil... i also kena for engine oil treatment... this is my 1st experience using JAP car... so i not familiar their types of marketing strategy... feel berat la my car after 1st service... i'm thinking to find other service centre that provide me a choice of engine oil... because after 10k they only provide 10w 40 semi syntetic oil only... it not the recommended types of viscocity oil by the user manual... |

QUOTE(GreenSamurai @ Dec 21 2013, 04:04 PM) then the engine oil only can last 4 k km. at the service the sc aso recomend engine additive callex xxxx hospower. i forgot the first name which cost rm 50. claimed to be recomended by tc. interesting is when they listed down the item to do list, no price list unless u ask. proton sc aso have something like this but at least price were listed. |

Hi All
Can I ask what stock tyres were fitted when you got your cars ? I read some got Goodyear, Dunlop or Continental CC. Anyone know which is the best out of the standard tyres they give ? I intend to use the stock tyres for the moment. So I want ot make a request to my SA. Please share your experience of your stack tyre i.e. hard / soft / noise level / grip in the wet. Thanks. |

QUOTE(Trevorel @ Dec 20 2013, 05:04 PM) yes, mine with impul bodykit. what do you mean "train" ?logically saying, if you wan your car fast and powerful, do not expect low FC; if you wan your car low FC, do not expect your car fast and powerful. my friends, work in Nissan service centre (TCEAS) as a Service Advisor, when i took my car for service, he used to drive my car and cut queue so i need not to wait. after he drove my car, he commented that my car is more powerful than other almera. it is not bcoz of modification or what, it is because of i used to "train" it well after 1k service. let the car learn your driving behavior. a well-trained horse can always run fast if it wants. **all of the above are bullshit... hahahha... |

My aunt bought a Latio instead of Almera.
I recommended her City, she said expensive. Then I mentioned Preve, she said no Proton. End up that day I saw the Latio... I asked her why not Almera, she said plain?!?!?! I am like... The Latio isn't any interesting either, it's new car but super old stock... I have not seen such a "new" car delivery, paint all oxidized, super visible watermarks everywhere. And the SA only give her RM1000 discount. Oh my... |
