default volt edi at 2.2v
Wrong.
10th annivessary default voltage is still 1.8Volts.

The 2.2Volts that you see in Crucial's website is the maximum voltage that Crucial warranties their ram.
They never said anything about you have to put 2.2Volts on their ram.

i thought it default volt
Nope.
The 2.2Volts means Crucial warranties your ram at that voltage.

Any DDR2, doesn't matter what speed, the stock voltage is still 1.8Volts.
Except for those DDR2's which is above PC2-6400 800MHz

eh?.. thought that vdimm must be increased as the clock speed increases?
Read my post properly, then you should get the answer to your question. smile.gif

So far, still the D9 chips - especially the D9GKX (the best) and D9GMH...
Dude, where got 2GB DDR2 single stick that comes with Micron D9GMH / D9GKX? laugh.gif

U go read leslie0880 question again lar. tongue.gif

Micron D9GMH / D9GKX has never been used on a single stick 2GB DDR2.

pls sumone help.  icon_question.gif
That's because u need to adjust the timing by yourself. smile.gif

I DID. and guess what, it wont boot. I add vdimm till 2.35V stil wont boot at 4-4-3-8. WHYY????
That's strange, last time i used the same supertalent ram as yours too, and it boot perfectly on DDR2 800 4-4-3-8 on 1.95Volts. hmm.gif

QUOTE(tachlio @ Dec 10 2007, 03:52 PM)
the kingbox ddr2 d9gmh using the 6 layer PCB, how if performance compare to normal 8 layer d9gmh ?

coz i Google all kingbox ddr2 800 d9gmh all using the 8 layer pcb

but this one using the 6 layer...

do it mean it lower performance by reduce the layer of pcb or lower the OC ability
You won't really see the differences.
It's just a little.

Eitherway, you're paying RM85 for a 1GB DDR2 667MHz that uses Micron D9GMH, which means if you buy two kits, you're only paying RM170 for 2X1GB what do you expect?
Even Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2 PC2-5300 667MHz 2GB Kit will cost you around RM300 & above.

Not to forget, Crucial Ballistix still use 6 layers of PCB, not eight. tongue.gif

Comeon lar, it's using 6 layers PCB mah, that's better than any valuerams that is on 4 layers PCB what? laugh.gif

bro shawty. I managed to boot at 4-4-3-8 after adding voltage sampai 2.45 V. This is strange.

Is there any foul play here bro. You know, perhaps sumbody sold me a faulty RAM?  hmm.gif
I don't know how to answer that question myself.
Perhaps maybe your motherboard vdimm vdroop is huge compared to the board i've tested. blush.gif

But still, the vdimm is quite high for my supertalent to reach 968Mhz tho. Most website reviewing this supertalent ram only used vdimm around 2.1 to achieve that speed using aggressive timing of 4-4-3-8. Stil makes me feel strange tho  wink.gif
That's because those reviewers reviewed those supertalent while they are still using Micron D9GMH chipsets.
Yours is on ProMOS chipset, that's why u need higher vdimm's.

How do you know mine is promos? Was the ram yours before mr.shawty?  laugh.gif
Refer to the DDR2 ram list.
Only the early batches of Supertalent DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz uses Micron D9GMH, what you get isn't the early batches, around 4th to 6th batch.

I know because that ram came from me, i bulk it last time.

Impressive set of 2X2 rams.

It's stable at 2.2Volts too! wub.gif

Nice ram. But warranty Vdimm only 2.1v. hmm.gif
No.
The 2.1Vdimm is it's stock voltage for it's stock speed.

It's normal for 2X2GB rams needing 2.1Volts just to run the ram at PC2-6400 800MHz @ CL4.

That ram is warrantied at 2.2Volts.

It's good, but not as good as Micron D9GMH / D9GKX / D9GCT.

Let's just say it's on the 2nd level. smile.gif

Here's another WOW from me.
This time, it's a Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 4GB Kit [2X2GB] PDC24G6400LLK!

This ram can do 1066MHz @ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2Volts! shocking.gif
And what's better is that this ram actually supports EPP Profile which some people call SLi Ready. wub.gif
