Awesome response by the lads especially in the 2nd half. It seems JM takes a big gamble by playing with 2 strikers. It unsettles the midfield but at least it brought the intended results.

This is one of the big win considering how well soton performing this season.

Good for Mata to get a full game. Iva really need to get some rest. Let Cole play again and Azpi can cover at RB. Essein can also feature again for Ramires at midweek. It was a careless mistake by Essien but probably because he doesn't featured a lot this season which explain the rustiness. And I wish for Torres to start again in midweek so that he can regain his sharpness.

1st win out of 9 games in a packed December. Hope we can keep up the pressure in Arsenal.

oscar maybe fast and defense better than mata but mata create chances better than oscar.not to mention the number of chances also more than oscar.

oscar is kinda selfish, so the moment he was out, I knew we r gonna win.

to be fair essien was piss poor for the whole 45minutes. easily dispossessed by opponent. mata, ramires and terry are the stand up performers for me. was rage when mou put ram wide after oscar injury, luckily he revert to his best position in the second half. mata as usual. not good in defence and lacking dribbling ability. his vision and creativity are brilliant though. terry bossing the defence and even manage to dribble forward.

not to forgot, iva was also quite brilliant in defending during the second half. win almost all battle with lallana

the good we all can agree on that..the bad essien is not because of the goal..but his performance in the 1st half..hazard on the ugly list because we know he can be much better than that..not very influential for this game..but i must credit him on his link up with azpi..

we really need his creativity. when we get freekick and corner, his delivwry really a threat.. hope mou will continue using mata after this.
