I think we have enough cover for Cole. Bertrand should be direct replacement. Even if Mou feel Bertrand is not up to par, he can play Azpi at left back. Even if he plays Iva at left back also I feel secure.

I can't deny that Lampard did some mistake that led City counter, and he didn't really contribute in attack, but maybe I had very low expectation on him before the game started. So, that's why I am satisfied with his performance. 
At least he didn't ran out out position and let City attackers to run all over him. His positioning is always the biggest problem to me.

I do believe his age is slowly but surely beginning to show.
Too patient is a pretty good description actually.many times we see our attacking players bursting forward when we dispossess them in midfield,but 99% of the time we play it safe,slow things down and pass it backwards.

btw, why is Mou playing formation 4-2-3-1, very erm..not as 'gung-ho' as liverpools 3-4-3 (3-4-1-2).

I believe chelsea has the solid defenders needed to play a 3-man defense formation, Iva - Luiz - Cole. That way, we can accommodate a stronger midfield to push the offensives to support the strikers up front instead of the current solitary striker formation. Just my thougts   Hope we get a great result against Schalke at the Bridge, Cheers!

Don't you think Iva and Azpi should swap roles. Let Iva be the more reserved full back, and let Azpi attack and put crosses on his favoured side.
