defending is the past issue. now mata need to be quick in pressing and winning ball higher up the pitch..

because Mata in the past few appearance already defend well and track back.

Mata is pure no 10 for slower game..while Oscar is quicker..thats all.. hmm.gif

It is extremely hard to earn the first 11 place given the quality we have.
mata is unlucky not able to impress mou early on.
Heck even kdb fall out of favors despite having good start in the early seasons.
I fell sad to see kdb and mata on bench.

hmm.gif Let's say if Mata do decide to leave, who to fill his boot? If he leaves, Oscar will be our main AM, who to back him up?

Left AM - Hazard/KDB
Right AM - Willian/Schurrle

recall Piazon? hmm.gif

Kdb also leaving.
Mou have said if some1 leave, some1 will come in.
so most likely we will sign new player or recalled certain loan player.

Means if KDB and Mata leaves, we'll need to sign 1 winger, 1 AM, plus original plan to sign 1 striker and 1 pivot midfielder. Seems like it's gonna be a busy January. brows.gif

Looking at our options we have to recall loan players, for AM position we have Piazon to replace Mata? For side AM we have Marin, Kakuta, Moses. Not bad. smile.gif

For pivot position, if Essien leaves, Mou can try recalling Romeu or Chalobah. smile.gif

Don't know if I'm slowpoke.

A report about our on loan player Oroil Romeu.

The 22-year-old had a slow start to his time at the Mestalla and struggled to settle in to the team. However, his performance against Swansea City in the Europa League showed exactly what he can achieve when he is on form.

Romeu won seven aerial duels as well as making five tackles and another five clearances. Valencia’s 1-0 win saw them secure top spot in Group A, guaranteeing their progress to the knockout stages. He then played a key role in Los Che’s 3-0 drubbing of Osasuna in La Liga to take them to ninth place in the table.

His vision and passing make him the perfect player for the pivot, giving the attacking players the confidence to go forward. According to The Express, Valencia manager Miroslav Djukic has been so impressed with Romeu’s performances that he has enquired about the possibility of signing him at the end of his season-long loan.

He is quite good.
having an impressive time during rafa times too bad his injury cost him huge time.
I'm not very sure how he is doing in valencia though.
Somehow I have the feeling that we dun need to get a pivot after all.
we have luiz on cdm would be good for us.
Hopefully mvg and romeo dun suffer another major injury.

“The Door Is Open” – Mourinho Tells Mata and Essien

Jose Mourinho has informed Juan Mata that, the door is open for any player who wants to leave the club.

The Portuguese, witnessed his side trash Southampton 3-0 at the Saint Mary’s Stadium and has stated he won’t block the chance of any of his players who wish to leave the club, during his Post-Match Interview.

It Could be recalled that during the course of the game when Juan Mata was substituted, He reacted Furiously and Posed Angry Gestures.

The Former Valencia Man, did not shake Mourinho’s hand after being withdrawn in the 53rd minute and flung his arms up in the direction of the touchline, where Mourinho was standing.

“I want to keep him. I don’t want him to go. That is my opinion, my wish, but my door is open,” the Chelsea manager said.

“The club’s door is open too so when a player wants to speak to us we are there waiting for them.
“If you are asking do you want the club to sell him? I don’t want to.”

Jose Mourinho was also asked about the future of Ghanian Defensive Midfielder, Michael Essien whom his agent stated that, he could leave the Bridge .

Fabien Piveteau (agent): “He( Essien) will leave Chelsea. He wants to play more, and after talking to Mourinho has made this decision.”

Mourinho said, he would have loved to keep the Midfielder but he dosen’t Guarantee, Playing time.

“I offer nobody – not Michael, not nobody (guaranteed playing time),” the Portuguese said.

“I understand that players think about national team, the World Cup and playing regularly, but my players have to think of the team before the players. Michael knows that perfectly.”

Lolz.
suddenly there is mata vs oscar.
both of them is very important player for us.
They have their own unique playing style.
I agree with what kerpy said.
I only have 1 thing to complaint is our transfer policy is too greedy to stockpile same type of player.
we would have done better if we have stockpile striker and cdm/pivot position as well.
*
Can have reserve/back-up player, but not to stockpile..Tottenham is good example, bought an entirely new starting 11 with the money from Bale's transfer - end up cannot satisfy everyone, team cannot gel..AvB got sacked - again! doh.gif

Yup. I've read this too. Imo, there is 2 ways to view this news.
1) Mou is actually telling others that Mata is up for sale, since he said 'but my door is open'.
2) Mou actually meant what he say, that he wants to keep Mata.

I think if we receive 30+ million for him, Mou will seriously consider selling Mata.

i think kdb is 90% leaving. what a waste of talent if he decide to stay.

for our own benefits, should put buy back clause for every youngster we sold. Barcelona style.

no place for unproven young talent in mou tactic. he won't play a single game if he decided to stay at chelsea last summer.

well, that is at least. We bought him 20+ m iinm. If we sell at August, sure can hit 40m. But now mid season, Jan transfer window, clubs in negotiating will use excuses like he is cuptied to lower the price. I'm looking at 35+ m to be honest. brows.gif
