i can assure you that slimbean 4.2.2 is rock stable as stock touchwiz. been using it for more than 2 months now. battery life is much better than stock, usually at the end of the day with 15% battery left. my setup :

slimbean 4.2.2 build 8
greenify wechat + aptoide + line + facebook
stock slimbean 4.2.2 kernel
standard 2100mah battery

what i meant is its officially out, but not for s3 yet..

but is doesnt have the 4.4 features...slimbean is verygood now, lets hope they will create a slimbean rom for 4.4..fingers crossed

4.4 just came out lol. of course it will require some time, but according to their blog, they have already prepared for the development process on 4.4

anyone know how to restore a accidently deleted picture from s3?

if saved in external card, just mount on PC and use and free data recovery software.

if it can recover, you have to buy the key to recover.

next time use dropbox/google plus/copy auto upload features. now you wouldn't know when you will become the statistic. even pak guard rob people now.

I reread your post few time but dun get what are you trying to say. Got typo?

I wanted to flash slimbean 4.1 to see wether its more stable and solid than 4.2
I never liked the 4.2 camera, the delay when changing orientation is really annoying.

But I can't get 4.1 to work. After a clean install, I keep getting aosp keyboard force close. It probably need google service to be updated. But I can't enter play store to update it, because I can't insert my google account. Why? Because the keyboard is not working, I can't bring up the keyboard, I can't connect to wifi too because I can't bring up keyboard to type my password.

So does this mean there's no way to go back to aosp based 4.1 roms?

Never bother to try the launcher. I prefer nova

Camera has smooth animation.
But still sucks due to rotation delay. Come on, already 2 update still have this bug. Also, Photosphere don't work.

so far NOVA is good... others like GO have loads of themes... if you like those then you use that..

NOVA only change the icons packs...

USE Focal camera ..... i think it is good...
