i pity of what you have gone thru....
once i hv been in your situation ...that time i bought 2 things from the counter.. a phone and gps...when i want them to change the unit they start telling grandma story...that time i feel like to smash the glass counter...!

ok back to your case... since it is 4.0.4 and your csc is Philipine, (GLB) change your csc to xme...google it and download malaysian 4.0.4 firmware go tru sammobile or http://live.samsung-updates.com or any other forum that have the old xme firmware then slowly you update thru odin in stages...
its easy to change the csc in 4.0.4 and may god bless you or your phone may bricked.....

steps r in here INSTRUCTIONS
- Extract (unzip) the firmware file
- Download Odin3 v3.09 (From here or here)
- Extract Odin .ZIP file
- Open Odin3 v3.09
- Restart phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add AP_I9300XXUGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to AP
- Add BL_I9300XXUGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to BL
- Add MODEM_I9300XXUGMK6_REV02_REV04_CL1413323.tar.md5 to CP
- Add CSC_OXA_I9300OXAGMK6_2168382_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to CSC
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
- If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc)
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
- Then choose reboot and you should be good to go!

Sorry for my  noobness... I don't think they will refund me and they said if wanna change to original set, they only accept this trade in  400... how do I know if this is a fake  s3

i gave my cousin, he work in selling mobile one, he said my s3 is not original set, but it doesnt seem like a fake one, and the battery quite okay, and he say ori s3 no black color one
so i think this s3 is either from other country... dono they changed any internal or not..
i notice something, just now when im listening to music, i can notice a zis sound once in a while, not very loud but it's noticeable, i tried other earphones (original sony one) still the same
den when i listen when charging my it, no problem ...

now i just wanna know should i root or flash it?
i think no hope to change le, and i also not so much time to go and back again, just learned a lesson
