Thanks for the reply and heads up regarding non standard keycap sizes. I don't think I will be needing more than the stock keycaps that came with any keyboard I mentioned.

So i figured out the spacebar problem... it's the construction of the space bar itself. The middle insert is too big, so I'm filing it down. The side stabilizers are no longer an issue since I cut it all off. Still sticky key though... any more ideas?

LOL...what I meant was if I were to get a new MK (either the standard or non standard layout) I won't be needing any other keycaps than the ones it came with, unless for some reason someone came to my room and pulled my keycaps and ran away with it...

AFAIK, you will nv able to fully remap the key, only program the keys as secondary keys.
Function row keystrokes = FN + numbers row

BTW, I have applied lighter on the space bar because I thought that it was wonky/not straight. Didn't work.

Cut cut cut the keycap extra stabilizer. Didn't work.

Then I cut the four plastic corners around the stabilizers on the keyboard (don't worry, it was the Ducky Zero Shine (Stabilizers can be replaced right? Right? RIGHT?)). Didn't work.

Then I see see the actual (+) thing on the key insert... and realized that the ABS-like material is too flipping thick for the key to insert itself correctly into the switch and come out without brushing against the switch cover.  Bloody heck. Shave shave shave. Still sticky. Shave some more plastic. Finally worked.

Should have been playing Dota instead, but just watched some games while fixing it. Running up and down looking for my lighter and knife...

How much is the price for the casing? Looks interested and I wonder will fit in other kb. Somehow I have problem browsing taobao from my mobile only. Btw, keycool and vortex is the same level or vortex superior than keycool? Seems like I don't really mind cherry as long they are universal, not like oni.

It is the spacebar issue imo. I tested 3 different sets. 1 stock and 2 aftermarket. You need to mod the caps stem to adapt the odd stabs. Because the pink pbt doesn't have any isdue and the vortex dye sub perfectly fits on ducky shine. I'll be happy to post my keycaps if I'm at same island with oni owner to make comparison for now.

May I know what else problem that been plagued keycoo ledl? I'm happy to make comparison to the poker ii. Yeah 2 different size and factor but I had ideas for both. Plan to spend a long time with mech kb after this. Soon salary will be reduced. 

Scratchy means not smooth? Feels like there's a sand on the stem? But that can be lube isn't it? If that's the case, i guess poker ii is my next mkb... Hopefully I'll be happy with her.

I use the pbt spacebar from my Ducky Dk-9008 Tiger limited edition. I really like the feel and the shape.

The other spacebar from my custom made order was too steep and didn't feel comfortable. There is a totally big difference between the 2

PS: no shine even after a few years of usage    so pbt lives up to it's reputation.
