Gurantee u will get bored b4 3 mths. For a newbie good to start with silver.
Next level RTG. After all the mainteneance is the same.

Haha, me too bored with my pearl. Now i upgrade to green ard. Still don't have the ability to own RTG...

Be patience. Try getting a "Snowwhite" green. The body is white, silverish in color and the tail is transparent, not 2 tone color like a Yellow Tail.
So far, I only came across 2 grown specimen. Some ppl. bluff, said it a platinum.

btw. some pearly are quite nice too, if u know how to choose. Those golden/copper bronze color with red dots on the scale.

Btw my pearl also vry scared of pple one. Like not ngam with me one. Now change to green liao. Maybe my tank will arrive tml morning.

Stay away fr YT and 1.5(Grade 2)
I'd a 1.5 b4, waited for 1' still no color or shine.
Try to trade-in and sell but nobody interested. I end up setting it free.

YT, colorless except the 2 tone tail(damm jalat)

If u do buy a green, look for some shine or pale white and make sure the tail dont look like a YT.

As for RTG, min. RM900+ for a juvenile. Try getting those with some 5th level development they call High Back.
Tank size, min. 4' x 2', better still 5' x 2'. Havent seen a 3' width yet.
No need experince, Aro r v.hardy fish. Most fatality occurred when it commit suicide(jump out)

this morning before going to work, i feed it with worm
look kinda hungry coz don't eat yeasterday n a day before, make me worry
but this morning, my silver finally eat! *phew!*

how much we suppose to feed them with worm a day aaa?

not too much...3-4 meal wroms is enough for 12" inch aro....2ice a day

yesterday went to few fish shop....saw chili red baby aro...RM3.8k now me gatal gatal want to trade in my RTG for it...hahahahha...but most likely wont happen...no budget....have to change ligthing.....tank mates cos some of them are bigget then that chili red aro....

maybe in a few years time....my 2nd biggie project....
