Personal advice, DO NOT FEED YOUR ARO's OR FISH with BLOODWORMS! My friend's whole tank of important south american chiclid died overnight after taking a hefty meal of frozen bloodworms bought from the LFS. Dont do something u will regret..

yes. people feed them crickets. but you can't just throw the cricket in just like that. smile.gif they have ways to prepare the cricket (some snipping involved).

What snipping is involved? The hind legs? unsure.gif

Just wondering if anybody keeps their arowana in a landscape aquarium with plants over the water? Just wondering cos aro's like jumping out of the water to catch their prey. Would be nice to have a full landscape enclosure with overhanging plants and see you aro jumping outta the water to grab that crix hanging on a leaf.... What a wild thought doh.gif . Would cost a lot just making it.

My friend once woke up in the morning to a really wet floor in the hall where the aquarium is. Turns out the Aro's been trying to jump and catch a roach on the aquarium cover..... laugh.gif

Wow, nice fish you got there, quite bulky can see... well you can try feeding frogs at this size already, make it even bulkier... if u can try to feed him with those market prawns, even better. Crickets... very addictive, superworms as well... so if you're ready to try those, be prepared that they might not eat anything else anymore... centipede is also good, enhances the colour more, if you're willing to spend more... hope this helps...

Green aros are definitely nice fish... if you read up more on it, different green aros caught in different states actually have different features, like bodyshape and colour and stuff. Try and read up on a certain green called the 'Nami', named after a lake in Kedah, very cool looking i bet you...

Won't regret wan lar, any aro is still an aro...
