QUOTE(yahiko @ Jun 11 2014, 01:06 PM)
saw my HSBC gold card statement, kena charge for Goverment tax and annual fees..

so i call to cancel the card and instant they updgrade my card to HSBC Amanah Mpower Visa Platinum Credit Card-i which i can enjoy 8% cashback ( min spend 1501 permonth la)

need help:-

current holding -
- Tesco RHB card - 2x tesco point
- HSBC gold normal - planning to cancel but got offer the upgarde

Today happen:
- got call by cimb to offer me RM150 cash bonus and platinum cashback card ( already agree to take)
- in the middle of applying Maybank AMex card

so sifu outthere, any advice? i only aim to carry 2 CC.. Maybank and HSBC cc need to use in weekend to entitle for the high rebate.
hmm.gif any advice?

My plan:-

tesco card = i buy alot from tesco so i keeping it

Utilities and bill payment: CIMB? HSBC or Maybank AMex better? ( planning to do auto debit )
*
your amex card can replace tesco & hsbc card, for cimb card if you were to retain you will just use it for online transactions or if there are promo like absolute thai get 15% discount etc

weekdays benefit:
AMEX(point only)
HSBC(0.5%)
CIMB( 5% grocies, 0.2 normal retail)
RHB( only tesco 2% + clubcard x1)?

weekends benefit:
AMEX(5%)
HSBC(5% if less then 2k, over 2K is 8% which never will happen to me)
CIMB( 5% grocies, 0.2 normal retail)  same as weekdays..
RHB( only tesco 2% + clubcard x1)? same as weekdays..

hmm.gif  hmm.gif

seem winnar is AMEX for weekend and CIMB for everdays use..
i think will keep RHB just for tesco ( if they able to lift the gst charges i will keep it )
ohya.. last question.. among thes card.. which is good for paying insurance like great eastern, AMEX is out.. ( CIMB or HSBC only i guess.)

yeah i can't remember groceries by CIMB cos I use hlb wise card for that. For insurance you can use aeon watami and also where places that rejected amex nod.gif

u got me wrong. There is not a single word in my sentence i told you guys that i signed up for anything. Do i?

my question was, why Amex have higher cashback or TP compared to master/visa?
*
is because not many places accept amex and maybank wants to increase its distribution ?
