Please be very careful when you go down the parking ramp. I hit my Preve LE's front twice already, second time even with extra precaution ~0km/h.
Preve LE - No hill hold assist. Use handbrake style like driving manual as a solution
*
Same here~~the same day after installation when go back to office car park~~
i also kena 2 times...really sakit hati~~but luckily there are multiple ways to enter my office's car park basement...
and i have to adjust my route to the basement 3~~

anyway although there are scratches~~but~~it is not visible as they are under the bodykit~~ (still sakit hati) cry.gif cry.gif ~~
anyway just for your info~~so far mid valley and pavilion car park i do not has any problem with the ramps smile.gif

Wait until you start to hear sounds :-P
*
Don't be so bad~~mine has 0 rattling sound so far except of the CVT vibration at 1700 to 2100 RPM~~
and of coz the famous CVT whining sound at 3500 RPM and above~~
but if just normal "D" driving i find it almost impossible to go above 3,500RPM

Depends on chance, the handling is superb but the car interior quality still need more work.
*
Anyway, maybe my views are biased...before i owned a Preve i always think Preve's interior is kinda sux (especially the dash board)~~

but now...after 2 weeks of driving...i think the interior is very practical and easy to use~~

Just that maybe the head unit could be a better designed one~~

Well, that happened sooner than i thought.

When I press the brake to slow down, especially from higher speed (but not very high), there's this duk-duk-duk-duk-duk sound. Is that normal?
*
Very common problem~~
saw a few fellars complained bout it~~
send to SC to replace/fix it

Tat brown color wif  R3 BK look so classy ... Its on revised VT3 transmission like suprima rite ? ...  u car the new cfe ANCAP rite ? ...?
*
Yeap this is ANCAP version with the 6 airbag~~
My installment is 700+ (for 9 years)~~
driven 1400+ KM to date..no rattling issue or interior ngek ngek so far~~and only some vibration sound of CVT between 1700 to 2100 RPM~~and CVT whining sound above 3500 RPM~~

nope the ANCAP version is NOT VT3+ gearbox~~

Haha i think i will use the current RIM for the next one year or until 3rd change of tyre~~

By the way...the ANCAP version comes with EVP~~addition on top of the previous version
next year also i doubt they will go for VT3...wait 2015 for the facelift version then~~i think it is very likely the facelift version will be released along with a hell lot of upgrade (only if u can wait)

Refer to Wincent's post for my comment~~ thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

by the way... i cannot confirm if the Preve R3 BK looks classy or not...but i am loving it biggrin.gif~~

R u sure its the cvt thats whinning above 3.5k rpm??? I think its the turbo in action, not cvt smile.gif

Btw my preve rim is a bit of a problem, before this I ran into a hole, and my rim bengkok... I went and replace it with a new one. Now the other rim bengkok for no reason... hv anyone experienced this?
*
Hmm the turbo sound is fine and i like it~~it is like engine inhale sound...soft but i can feel it~~
the whining sound i mention is quite annoying~~its in a way quite loud and sharp~~like something vibrating~~
anyway...now seems like the sound is not as strong as when i first get my car on the 6th Dec~~

I use UR strut bar for my Persona, but the Preve already comes with front strut bar, rear anti roll bar. What else do you need? Fender bar?

Stock Preve handling is very good. The most I take corners is at 140km/h, and it already does very well.
*
Hmm but if u can make it better with another RM570? promised to improve performance and comfort and reduced noise? Anyway no idea if it can really perform...but according to tonnes of reviewer..it sounds like a miracle..

haha i agree with you that the car's handling is superb...i never try 140KM/H cornering but i did try 90KM/H in almost 180 degree turn...feels solid and stable~~

180 degree? 90 km/h U-turn ka?
*
haha not really a U-turn~~not the short steep angle turn~~
I am referring to the turn from Pusat Bandar Damansara to KL~~ (Jalan Semantan back to Jalan Duta)
going slightly above 90KM/H~~~feels darn stable compare to my good old Wira sweat.gif ~~

I think Executive CVT version (CamPro IAFM+) is a good deal compare to the Premium CVT version (CamPro CFE) with the recent feature upgrade??

The premium version has the turbo engine with Paddle Shifters, Build in Navigation, auto air cond, push start, auto cruise, auto wipers and tinted film… But only the auto cruise is useful, others are not so important.

The engine for CVT will be underpowered? Or engine produces more noise? Any drawback if buy Exec instead of Premium? Any idea all the sifu?
*
a lot of review says that the Exec CVT version is slightly underpower for such a heavy car~~
no doubt it is a good deal...if u dun mind for the issue above... (which a few buyer regret they did not go for the powerful version)

my suggestion is to go for the premium or just take the manual~~
the extra torque and power really makes me a happier driver... biggrin.gif

I have been following this thread for the pass few weeks. I understand that CFE version may come with VT3+, EVP on top of the 6 air bags. This afternoon I went to a show room but the sales adviser seem know nothing about the VT3+ and EVP story. And he told me gearbox is same with the 4 air bags version and no EVP on CFE model...

Appreciate if any new sifu-sifu here or the 6 air bags CFE version owners can share and confirm. Thanks.

Most SA doesn't even know the existence of the VT3+, as far as they know the Suprima gearbox is the same as the previous Preve.

Proton marketing continues to fail doh.gif
*
Fully agree~~they are sales person who know nothing about the product they sell~~
dont bother to waste ur time to try ask~~they give you shit answers~~
i personally went 3 showrooms (Sg Besi, Belakong & Jln Ampang) and 2 dealers~~all like blur when i talk about VT3+~~

isn't that right vincent818?

i'll still confirm my order this year, as current car unreliable already... cry.gif

*
Confirm Preve is VT3, VT2 without tip mode...
