*
I also got mine from Vincent earlier this month~~seems like good business for Vincent after all~~

But..u sure it has hill hold assist? i dont think so...even the Preve LE doesn't have it~~
i felt the car roll back when stop at uphill~~ had to use handbrake~~

finally someone confirmed with me....the CVT whining sound only comes after 3500 RPM at lower gears~~ biggrin.gif

Wow im getting excited ... So ... There should be no major diffs in performance  between  the new cfe and preve le rite  ...? Accept for the interior n exterior looks ... Anyone had tried drove both of them to conferm tis ...?
*
Technically i think there are not much difference sinz even ANCAP comes with VT3+..
for the exterior...you can buy the R3 bodykit of Preve LE~~recently saw another dude with a blue R3 bodykit...looks awesome~~
for the interior....if u are really fond of leather...you can ask for seats wrapping service...
saw it once on the automotive forum before..not cheap~~

The concern is that the wrapping restricts the airbag to break open 2 layers of fabric+leather

The seats will jus explode~~

Racechip only for CFE. One of the few that I heard throttle controller and potent booster
*
but the item is not recommended by the Punch Powertrain guy from a reply asked by our forumer...
he said the campro engine originally not designed for turbo and the gearbox can only take 230Nm torque max...but the race chip boost the torque to 240Nm~~

All modifications are not recommended by manufacturer. I can't comment much, I don't have one and I myself came biased from pretty extensive car modification. My 2 cents says that Racechip probably goes quite well with the drivetrain, my own worries is that I actually don't get to feel the claimed 240 Nm after installing it.

Campro CFE has a lot of enhancement from the IAFM version. Many of the things that kedai bawah pokok can't do. Preve makes me ditch my BOT project and just buy a Preve LE.
*
What is your BOT project about?

anyway for those who don't know what we are talking about, please refer to the link as follows:-

racechip can solve this issue. at least it does for me smile.gif
*
Ohh finally someone here installed race chip~~

hows the feel? serious improvement? care to give us a detail user review in terms of performance, FC and feeling? how much is the price anyway? RM1,850?

As for the warranty i think u can remove the racechip before going to claim warranty..it is untraceable...

really reduce sluggishness when start from idle. faster response. fc, if drive 110kmh (daily), i can go 500 km with 100km++ fuel left on my meter. bought at rm1650 during promotion. mine is cfe btw

https://www.facebook.com/racechipchiptuningMY
*
Thanks for the feedback. Yea only engine with turbo can install race chip or else no effect...

Wahh the fuel consumption so drastic improved kah...i find it a bit hard to believe...

just plug and play and don't need to tune? or require the seller to tune for you periodically?

Just wondering will it harm the engine~~

guys, i only managed to drive roughly 400km full tank. kinda low FC la.
city drive all the time, regularly travel short distance
*
ur car is new? new car engine tends to have much higher friction when it is new...this is normally due to micro imperfection of the engine~~ so it need sometime to "wear in / break in / run in" ...
some said 10,000KM....some say 5,000KM~~depending on the engine... (google it)

so after 1,000KM oil change, try to hantam you engine a bit to make sure the engine blocks sits correctly in place and reduce friction~~~

full tank (50L) for 400km in city drive with new engine wasn't that bad in my opinion...try avoid the jam and go out of town...at 100KM/hr can achieve 6.6L/100KM based on the instant FC calculation displayed~~

Anyway...dont compare Preve CFE's FC with normal 1.6 engine car~~the FC should be comparable to 2.0 car especially when u are running in city constant stop and go situation~~

I was looking at my fuel data for my ex-Accord and my Preve. Same driver, same driving style, same FC! But what the statistics don't show is that Preve FC is much better on highway compared to my ex-Accord. Compared to my dad's iVTEC Accord however, they both have similar highway FC, but Accord has worse FC (due to my dad's driving style.

Just to add, proper tyre maintenance is to watch the load and your speed biggrin.gif In order to make the tyres wear out 'naturally', add 3-4 PSI when full load or going high speed for a long time smile.gif
*
I seriously dun agree adding additional 3 to 4 PSI to the tyre pressure~~
that is some serious over inflattion..danger when driving in wet or high speed condition as the grip is lost~~

the theory is that if u under inflate your tyre it will become so gripy that it results in slower car and waste fuel consumption...but if you over inflate it~~the tyre will not be in full contact of the surface and you have lost grip~~which it will also affect in Fuel Consumption AND will result in dangerous driving condition..again especially in wet or high speed condition~~

check out you tube for the "mythbuster series" they have tried all 3 conditions and concluded the above statement~~

the optimum pressure when cold is 220kPa (around 31 psi??) for the front and 210kPa (around 30 psi??) for the rear~~refer to page 166 of your manual [english] it is CLEARLY stated there~~

therefore if u pump with hot tyre it should be fine for you to add 5~10kPa for both front and back..

oh ya for the new cars...please make sure you check your tyre pressure...as they are not sure how long the car will stay in their storage..to avoid flat tyre..the manufacturer normally will inject more air inside...go ahead and try adjust the pressure to the optimum level...you will then feel the true power and stability

Err please read carefully, I did specifically say it's for the circumstances of full load (full trunk + 4 passengers), and going for high speed for extended time smile.gif
*
Still i think advising people to go for 34 or 35 PSi for their tyre under ANY conditions is not wise~~
the load of extra weight is more likely to be absorb by an ABSORBER rather than the tyre~~

why put yourself in danger dude....no offence~~

:3mushy:3 is correct. You have to compensate the tire pressure when you carry heavy load. Some manufacturers explicitly recommend doing so on their car's tire pressure chart.  smile.gif

hahaha now Preve become a pick up truck~~ rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
What i am trying to say is~~you dont always go for super heavy load for your car~~under a normal situation you might just wanna go for the optimum~~

and Guys, check out the Preve that just arrived on my SA's showroom.

Not sure if you managed to see it, but at the rear of Preve, it's emblem with "Turbo" (same with Suprima) & "Handling By Lotus".

Is it just a sticker that Proton slaps on it? cause mine just written CFE at the back.
"Handling By Lotus" tarak.
*
Hmm i am also curious about the "Turbo" and "Handling by Lotus" emblem~~
i saw a few car with it recently...i thought the buyer slams on the car themselves..
until i saw ur pic here~~mine also just written CFE~~

Nice BK from Dreamedge~~wonder how much it cost with the lamp there~~

Many thanks to vincent818 for great service provided!

Other than that:
1 - I know its written on the handbook that it will automatically shift down depending on your speed (even though u put it in "TRIP" (+/-) mode, is there any tweak can be done so that shifting down is also manual? unsure.gif

2 - no steering lock for push/start button Preve?  hmm.gif i mean the one where u off the car and pull the steering until it locked. i can't find anything on the manual and i'm unable to lock the steering when turning the steering while everything's off. the steering is still freely move.
*
Congratulation...

It should be TIP mode according to the manual...i think it is a preset to protect the gearbox~~quite unlikely u can change that~~anyway..i found it quite useful man...even if u rev too kuat under tip mode..it will auto shift up for u also...try rev to >6000 RPM and u will see the auto shift~~

..dun understand what u mean on the 2nd point~~
