if you get AF body like D90.D7000.7100 onward... then you use non AF lens (of course it need to be support one la) like 50mm f/1.8D can use body's AF module to AF.

eh that lens dont have auto focus motor??

then you need get D7100
or
change lens

buy my USED D70s

sorry i don't know so far for this. it is using screw type to autofocus, so which means your body need have to be screwed...pun intended

my body i duno, market price might be less than 500...

never hear of this , so i guess no solution(yet).
you can use it manually focus till you change body -or- sell the lens find a lens that label AF-S

that's why nikon make beginner range body all no AF module inside because they you guys buy new lens

want ask, can D70s charger old cable put on others nikon battery charger to charge different battery? since the new cable is not for local one. (unless i go use international adapter la)

ya... i put it on new different model battery charger.
it got light and charging, but i scare for longer time it will spoil

i mean i use my D70s local cable on D800 JP set

that is a thing, i duno read those voltage and amps....

even i last time read ipad charger charge iphone also cannot supposedly, it will accelerate battery spoil faster

maybe i open new thread for that question see who own grey set and charge see got problem or not

D800 JP cable wrote 125v-7A

charger is

input	100-240V ~ 50/60Hz
input	21VA (100V) - 28 VA (240V)
output	8.4V --- 1.2A
input	120V ~ 60Hz 0.2A

D70s cable wrote 2.5A 250V~

charger is

input	100-240V~
input	50-60Hz 0.25A
output	8.4V --- 0.9A

so can use D70s cable on D800 charger?

warranty is not really a issue, because i never send body to service for faulty things *touch wood*
but then i forget charger cable... i got adapter but it is kinda annoying to use la, only if no choice then i use... so i just ask can use D70s cable first or not
