QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Oct 22 2013, 05:31 PM) Their prices are almost always the lowest Only a few hundred more expensive than D600 Any buyers? I'm very interested, but too bad, still sticking to buying either a D800 or maybe this end of the year depending on the difference in price because no budget atm. But recent buyers of the D600 are soooooo gonna rage.

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Oct 22 2013, 05:40 PM) D800 is the better pick Go for it XD But do make sure your other accessories and computers are up to the task as well, but I guess it shouldn't be too much of a problem for you la Yay, and to think that the D600 was the bargain of the century during its time My desktop can handle the workload no problem, thing is I need to start organizing my existing files as well as getting a backup 4TB drive already since my 500gig drive is almost full

QUOTE(matrix123 @ Oct 22 2013, 05:44 PM) Yes, if compare between D600 and D610..the only different is the shutter speed improved by 0.5fps. Image Q are the same. If the shutter on the out going D600 has been replace with newer version..its teh best ever bargain to grab it..furthermore its an FF body.. Nikon has already responded regarding replacing the D600 shutter with the newer version, check out the first post.

QUOTE(Fizzy-Fiz @ Oct 22 2013, 09:36 PM) Ha, didnt thought of that. But still, probably. I think she would need the dough. Is d700 really still that good? Pro level build, almost everything is superior to the D600 except for the sensor. And video of course. This post has been edited by gunzerdude: Oct 22 2013, 09:44 PM

QUOTE(amduser @ Oct 23 2013, 04:29 PM) but i find that widest aperture for G lens is quite sharp already, loving the smoothness and details of prime lens at widest aperture 1 stop means 3 clicks of the camera dial, if you use manual mode, each time you turn the dial by 1 click the exposure bias will be overexpose or underexpose for 0.3 I remember D5XXX and D3XXX class bodies actually have the increment set to 1/2 instead of 1/3 by default. Might wanna take that into account.

QUOTE(Fizzy-Fiz @ Oct 25 2013, 12:32 AM) taken with d600. anyone knows what is this? -it occurs at ISO higher than 100 -the band is always horizontal -happens regardless of shutter speed, aperture -about 1/3 of shots Taken indoors under artificial lighting? (florescent tubes, etc)

QUOTE(little ice @ Oct 25 2013, 12:38 AM) local is running 50hz frequency so indoor light flicker at 50 times per second. if shutter speed too fast you'll capture the flicker. but horizontal seems weird and especially regardless of shutter speed, better go see doctor...? Yep, especially since it's persistent enough to occur regardless of SS/A. Better get it checked if it's still under warranty.

QUOTE(Fizzy-Fiz @ Oct 25 2013, 12:46 AM) Yeah under artificial light. Just bought so havent tried in daylight. Its burned into the nef files too Is there a service center in kuantan or do go kl? Give it a try under other lights first, probably the lights in the room you're testing with is faulty or something.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 25 2013, 10:12 AM) i'll be very interested to get that nikon whatever its called...D4h is just a stupid name and i hope its not true. maybe if its true and nikon calling it a D4h is just an excuse for them to say its more expensive than D800...when reality dictates that it should really be priced at usd2k. that lens used on it with the large silver ring looks alot like vintage 50mm also. I think you missed the post on Nikonrumors where its confirmed that it won't be called the D4H The actual name is the Nikon DF instead

QUOTE(KTCY @ Oct 25 2013, 02:44 PM) seriously la. long time didn't follow the market price for camera already. sigma 12-24 AP warranty selling at 2.8k like that. cheaper by 1k worth ? the user claimed not use more than 10 times. Which version is it? Mark I or II? If the lens is the older version then it might explain the difference la

QUOTE(KTCY @ Oct 25 2013, 03:00 PM) mark 2 Ohh sorry, didn't notice you included the version in your first post. In that case it's a fantastic deal leh, I'd probably snap it up if I had the cash Especially since 12mm is still considered ultrawide on DX, and gets even better on FX

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Oct 28 2013, 10:44 AM) i thought that thing can get everywhere? no need find original or what? Original got filter at the intake part to filter dust. Not sure whether ciplak ones got anot, but mine starting to blow crap onto filters instead of blowing them off. Thank god I didnt use it to blow inside my camera (Not that I have one to blow anyways )

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Oct 28 2013, 10:49 AM) how to change filter then? I don't think can change lei, , but better the thing get stuck than sucking in loads of dust which gets blown all over your sensor ya? QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Oct 28 2013, 10:53 AM) Mine haven't got crap yet Is it possible to soak in warm soap water? Mine previously can, but I superglued the rear cap and front part so cannot clean already since got valves to make sure air goes in and out in one direction This post has been edited by gunzerdude: Oct 28 2013, 10:55 AM

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Oct 28 2013, 10:58 AM) Ini NIKON thread not NOKIA i first time hear this, even my blower rubber got crack but i didn't notice it blow craps yet... what is craps you mean then? let say aim the filter you press the blower it blow dusts instead air? Air + dust particles, end up with even more dust on the filter, summore the type that you actually have to brush/wipe away since they're "stuck" to the surface.

the terms 1:1 and 1:2 etc are used to define the magnification. For true macro lenses, you can reach 1:1 which means that subject size is reflected directly onto sensor (you'll fill the frame with a 20sen coin on DX approx.) This should help illustrate what I'm talking about. Btw, macro lenses are mostly a specialized investment, so it's best for people with tight budget to consider whether it's worth pouring the money on a real macro lens compared to an AF extension tubes that costs much less. Of course, AF tubes compared to real macro lenses have differences, working distance being one of them. But other than that, both can produce great results if you know how and are willing to do so. Tanji Is one of them using just a 50mm+extension to produce great shots already.
