my mums jazz screen wiper is getting warn out.
was thinking of going to DIY and get some wipers they were about RM9 each,
Any good?

i heard people say get silicon ones as it last longer then rubber.
*
No la. Silicon last time used to be lifetime warranty. That is what makes it interesting.

For our wipers, it seats like half the year bathing in sun. What con also is useless one.

You can always get refill ma. What do you mean DIY and get some wipers that are about RM9 each? Just buy whatever within your means la.

Jazz also can fit 17 inch performance tires.
*
That is what he meant by the extra lo.

If a Jazz came wearing 16" 195 wide AD08R. He might have bought it.

mr DIY store nation wide
http://www.mrdiy2u.com/

how much are the refill you talking about? where to find?
*
it is not as cheap as RM9 la. But, what do you expect out of an RM9 wiper first?

The wiper blades on the jazz are meant to take insert refills. So, that is just what you need to look for. I can't comment on stock refill price. But, i remember i bought my bosch refill for something like less than RM50. Not silicone but not the lousy ones also.

You sure? Are you referring to those RM200 per blade PIAA brand?

I bought a few pairs before. SWV 5 years, Duraedge cheap version 2 (or 3) years warranty. Others only verbally said will last but no black and white warranty card.
*
Duraedge la. They market it so heavily. It won't forever la. But, the good thing at 50 odd bucks you get to claim warranty ma. Haha

I only bought 2 pairs before for both my cars. Claimed it maybe 2 or 3 times and i gave up with claiming already.

just hate Honda SC in Seremban (Wanija and Ban Hin Lee SC ) so inefficient....normal service take half day.....my next 10k service maybe take whole day.....
*
Eh, you see the car went in and spend so long or it was jus queueing?

Usually i take 830am slot also they tell me 1pm collection. But, normally by 1030 or 11 the car is already done and can collect if you are around.

Jus dun try to go late or without appointment la.

If you go to Wanija Seremban for service, they will have slots for 'by appointment' and 'walk in' ....the service adviser will take at random ur sevice booklet and no proper numbering system at all....my brother who service his CRV also the same thing happen in Ban Hin Lee Service in Seremban.... Its resulting that u send your car at 8:30 a.m. And finish the whole process of queing and servicing ur car 4 to 5 hours later....

Seremban Tan Chong service much better.... Booking service through internet and they will call u the day before service to remind u....the whole process of waiting servicing will be less than 2 hour for minor service and not more than 3 hours for major service..... After service ur car they sms u and ask us to rate their service and asking if there any problem encountered during servicing or suggestion for improvement....
*
Wow, that is shocking. Random ah.

Well, KL ones are more like your TC experience and god bless

Malaysia punya lu.... But I would like to see both genuine review for Malaysia Stiff Ring and Spoon Rigid Collar  thumbup.gif
*
You want the truth or you want the sugar added version?

Truth is, it doesn't feel any different. Or maybe it is just me. Or my car ain't old enough

My rigid collars cost almost 3 times the cost of the local stiff rings, maybe that is due to currency conversion. 2.6 or so to 1 myr the time i bought it back then. Imagine now.

But i doubt there is much difference between both except one is branded and comes with a funky tube of grease while the other is local brand.

Doesn't hurt trying the local one if you have 700, 800 bucks to fling around. Personally, i'd spend it on something else.

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell us what is the difference between buying at the showroom and the dealer.
*
What is the definition of a showroom and dealership? Aren't they the same? Actually, they call it a 3S center, sales, service, spare parts

You can try other brands. Jus not sport or lowering shocks.

It might be slightly or no better

My jazz already six month old but the mileage is not yet  10k.....its only at 8k as for now....do i need to send it for service (the SC already sent sms reminder) immediately  or maybe can drive another one or two month to make the mileage reaching 10k?
*
If u worry about warranty. Whichever comes first.

If not, do so when you like. 1 or 2 months is not a big deal although might not be the best.

the 0W-20 engine is not bad.RM 120 for fully is quite cheap.
*
Eh, i got it for RM95 only. Not from Honda authorized spare parts shop la. The gold bottle one made by idemitsu

Dun look fake to me. 5th oil change snd still running

mine is from 3S,so go figure  tongue.gif

yup can get lower than that from a spare part shop,i think it is not idemitsu but eneos, honda is using eneos right now.last time it was idemitsu.
*
Oh, but the manufacturing date was still quite recent.

Anyways, changing to redline soon as the distributor got the 0-20 in already. Bit costly though.

Quite phobia buying EO from spare part shops unless you really confident and its trusted seller....
*
I buy from them a lot of years already. From my other cars to this la of course.

Actually, this are honda SC oils. Because everytime i buy there is no receipts except for the oil filter and the crush washer.

So, one time out of no reason i ask the boss which quite close adi anyways. And he revealed this are actually oils by SC staff and sold to them.

So, put your thinking caps on and think how this oils manage to get to them la. It's either they manage to sneak it from their stockhold or there is some hanky panky going on with the oils going into your car during oil change.

Speculate away.

Is the 0W-20 too thin of engine oil? If RM120 for fully synthetic genuine engine oil of 4 liter , its really dirt cheap...whats the brand of the EO? Its selling at SC?
*
Actually, it is around that price after the 15% discount in SC during service.

As to whether it is too thin. I think it is ok for normal drives but dun really feel it is very durable in case you really want to stretch it to a 10k service interval.

If you punch it hard for long durations. I do realize that the oil level will drop a bit after 3 to 4k KMs. So, in some ways it is a bit thin if you push the motor very hard.

Most of fully synthetic oil that i bought for my other car/mpv, like Mobil 1 or Liqui Molly , the price will be more than RM200 for a 4 liter bottle....to get it for RM120 will be a peanut....for me all my new car till 3rd year, i will using xW30, 4 to 5 years it will be xW40 and 5 years and above it will be xW50...
*
You are not one of those who think old cars piston skirting getting thin and think of using more viscous oil to solve problem, right?

Actually, others nowhere near near rm200 la. But still more expensive la. My redline also costs around rm58 per lit only (include gst la)
