I see some new addition in HU 7.26, but not that much difference from 7.07. Still cannot hear radio while reversing car

i dont think any HU that comes with reverse camera on main screen would allow sound to play during reversing.. correct me if i'm wrong..

Hi peeps, just booked my SS over the weekend...now waiting for bank to call on the loan... so excited to get my hands on it... recently after test drive, I was trying to scout around for SS on the road...Can't hardly see one...but within these 2 days, I've caught 3, Atlantic Blue...god, I love that color!

I just did my 1k km at COE Shah Alam yesterday due to my HU cannot start the Navigation. They update the software and now have the wallpaper whenever the HU is started up. Now can use the Navigation. Complained on the brake spongy, helicopter sound when braking around 60 - 80 km/h, steering wheel vibrates around 110 - 120 km/h and steering wheel centred at 11.00 o'clock.

Send car at 8.00am and received back at 12.30pm. All problems solved.

I suggest you call in to make an appointment with COE before 10.30am because after that, it's very hard to get connected as the calls going in non stop.

AFAIK, yes, even aftermarket HU, it's safety features plus if the radio is muted during reverse, you can hear the reverse sensor beep clearly.

My beloved "Waja (A) 2001" has left me bcoz it was involved in an accident which resulted "total loss".

I intend to use the insurance compensation as downpayment for a Suprima S Premium.

I wonder if any members from the forum know if the ECU in Suprima S Premium is the same with Preve or it has been upgraded to the one fixed in Proton Exora Bold.

Why I ask this question is bcoz Proton Exora Bold ECU has been tweaked by Proton which give the MPV better bhp/ torque and better fuel consumption.

I was given to understand that some Preve owners has reseorted to modify and/or upgrade the ECU from Racechip and EFR2T as follows:-

Since Suprima S Premium kerb weight is heavier than Preve @ 1395 kg versus 1340 kg therefore with power to weight ratio the Suprima S Premium is powerful than Preve. Am I right?

Hi all, a Proton salesman is offering me Suprima 1.6 Premium with discount of RM 7000 for 2013 stock and also 3 year free service from Proton..

Should I take this offer instead of 2014's stock? ( only got RM 2200 discount )?

Any differences between 2013 stock compared to 2014? (Besides the resale value)

Yep definitely a good deal. I'm being offered 7.5k with 3 years free service. Not sure of the terms of the service though, if it covers the 60k service itself it can pay back the money. 60k is the first major one, cost comes to about 1.1k..referring to preve service charges.

guys, is free service and warranty different? the SA does not offer me any "free service" term... Just AFAIK, all proton preve and suprima S car comes with 5 years warranty...


and life-time warranty for power window...

Your warranty claim details are exactly as mine , I did it in CoE two weeks ago too.
Hopefully that's about it, the waiting time damn long...

from what i understand;
free service - free "service charge/labour cost" to service your car.ie during oil change
warranty is on the parts, as long as its still in the original condition. ie if change rim, warranty on the brake disc, lower arms, etc might be effected.

i guess it's 3 times free service.

they say its life time warranty. but actually its 10years warranty.
as most of the people will change car before it reaches 10 years. <--what my SA told me

If I'm not mistaken this promo is for 3 years free service, inclusive engine oil. I asked the SA directly. This is after the promo of 5k rebate by PROTON ended on 31st March. Moving forward this what they give..so last month he quote me 8k rebate..this month since the rebate taken out, for 2013 model, he can only give 7.5k rebate and PROTON giving 3 years free service.
