Even 4L is too much and over the line. Normally i require them to put in 3.5-3.7L only.

Nope Syntium 800 got 2 grade 1 is API SM (newer formulae and better grade) which only got 4L. Another is API SL (old formulae) which comewith 3L and 1L package but for Gaga as long as any EO higher than API SL also safe to use
