New Member Newbie 10 posts Joined: Aug 2010	Technical Question: Regarding CVT variants, usually ~2k rpm is normal driving. . no issue. . >= 3k rpm, CVT comes alive, start to roar. . ~4k rpm, that is when bloody CVT starts screaming ? upon 4k rpm, can see rpm suddenly shoot down to 5k rpm very fast. . is it because of CamTakPro max. generated torque is @ 4k rpm ? if yes, should answer why some complain when WOT CVT until 6k rpm like got 2 stage in between. . 1st stage is 1-3k rpm, 2nd stage is after 4k where the CVT starts scream and ur body starts to move back

If you go WOT, the drive pulley will widen to allow more engine speed(more torque) to be channel out, hence you see 4krpm. Until reaches certain speed where the driven pulley(output) has been fully shrunk, then the drive pulley(receive power from engine) will start to shrink. The shoot up from 5~6krpm is a bottleneck of CVT. There's no more step(variable) available for the driven pulley(output). Continue from the previous paragraph, the driven pulley already maxed out, there's no more room to go faster. Now the drive pulley will start to shrink. Hence from 5krpm onwards, EACH RPM increment will result in your optimal top speed.
