my colleague's T100 bought from Senheng got problem, the SD card slot not function, so should send to ASUS or Senheng?
i call to senheng CS hotline no body pick up...

senheng CS is a real pain.

if Asus is near, just go to Asus. if you go to SenHeng during 1st year, chances are:
* they will ask you to go to Asus
* they may be nice enough to help you send to Asus <-- but i doubt it since year 1 warranty is by Asus and SenHeng will lose $ having to help you send the unit back to Asus

personally, i'd prefer big screen of 10" over 8" for tablets.

8"... you know the specs? windows rt? windows 8.1? free MS Office? for college, you'd probably need to do a bit of typing... 8" comes with keyboard? storage? external SD? harddisk? plus, since you dun even know if the 8" is going to launch in MY...

if you need something now, might as well get it. lots of shops even offer installment payment plans.

Should be the usual 1280 x 800 all the other 8" devices are using, generally ok for web browsing.

Does the T100 support MHL adapters? I bought one, but it seems like it doesnt support my Nexus 7. Thought of using it with my dad's T100 if it is supported.

After a few months of using the T100 this is what I have to say.

Only Niggles. Full sized USB does not read logitech Nano unifing receiver (Fixed - bad connection on the receiver, somehow it don't fit correctly on my T100)

Bought this unit as a short term replacement for my Thinkpad when it went south. It was never for a long term use. With the thinkpad fixed its time to pass this along to my supervisor to use.

Good
Runs WINDOWS 8 and all x86 software natively (basic photo edit, VNC, Teamviewer for remote control!)
Portable
Decent battery life
Built in keyboard dock and HDD is useful but not really portable
Affordable
Supports FLASH
New Atom 3370 is pretty powerful
Office 2013
Minimal learning curve to use - works like every other windows machine

Bad
Keyboard is only useful for emergency use. Wont be as bad if the right shift key wasn't so small.
Windows 8 still needs work on touch devices.
Connected standby really sucks juice. Many times running out of juice when trying to use it.
Only 1 full sized USB - really does need one more full sized USB (even maybe a 2nd mUSB) on the tablet unit.
(I have a Logitech Nano receiver and need to unplug the charger or receiver if I need to plug any other USB in.
Touchpad (keys) is hopeless

Would be nice to have.
Windows 8 Pro for Domain authentication.
1 extra USB on tablet unit

As comparison to other Tablets currently in service.

Ipad
- looks better, is better built, more premium device
- is the better EBOOK and a web page viewer (lack of Flash is unfortunate but not a deal breaker)
- lack of external memory support and iTunes only sync is its failing.

Samsung Note 10
- Stylus support - and damn good one at that
- Android system more "open" compared to iOS

Both the Note 10 and Ipad make for far better tablets primarily of the OS behind it. But as a tablet "netbook" that can do some real work, the T100 has no peers at this price range. the 8" Bay Trail tablets are too small to be able to use exclusively as a work machine while this can still pass as a sole work machine for site personnel.

Conclusion.
Think of this as a Netbook that can be used as a tablet. Not the other way around. If you bought it for that reason and can live with that, you will be happy with the T100 for a long time. This beats any of the older Android based Transformers. That and it comes with Office - important for office and company use. I may even purchase a few more T100 for off site staff use as it is a very good productivity tool (or time waster depending on how you use it)

That said. would be buyers will have to evaluate if they want to spend the extra compared to a comparable Netbook or low end ultra portable notebook (with better keyboard) in which the T100 is more directly competing against.

I may consider an i5 powered 13" Transformer unit if it becomes more affordable as a direct replacement for my aging Thinkpad X61 ( I will miss the 4:3 screen for work). I was tempted for a brief moment of Asus' 18" Transformer desktop.... THAT would have been something but the price tag was a little unnerving.

Don't buy into all that marketing hype for super high rez.

this is plenty enough for a 8-10" device.

A tablet isn't a phone. You don't look at it 1' from your face. If you do, you have more pressing issues than a low rez screen to be worried about.
