I only charged for bout 3 hours only...then straight away turned on and setup everything. Now still discharging like bro michael9413 suggested...battery drained quite fast when docked @ sleep....I guess that's normal with this model with hdd. Checked windows update...and found quite a lot new drivers to update, but abit worry to update coz some update can make this tab unstable.

is it safe to use updated drivers from windows update?

do not updates all, i remember the touchpad did not function after update...
then if u cant find the rotate lock n unlock button look at drivers... reinstall it, it is sensor or display what controller i think...

i think TS should put those on 1st post...

1. when I choose cam it says 1 app is using it so I cant use. how to cancel that app? don't know which one
2. is there a way to not get the on screen keyboard to appear every time?
3. on the updates, which of the file(s) I should update or none at all, for a start there are too many security update files in the list.

btw.. I just notice that the battery drained overnight until almost zero. and it feels hot. so that's the keyboard docking issue u guys hv been telling about yeah

and...forgive my newbie q's..still learning to use windows 8

u can use task manager to end those task... mostly u have open something like video conference or camera???

u can close it... use task bar properties to activate the toolbars button... u have the touch keyboard button...
so every time u use it u need to tap the keyboard button...

the problem of the driver is only touchpad n mouse... thats all...
the orientation is sometimes diver corrupted... then u reinstall it...

Anyone knows where I can get a T100 under the RP of RM 1399 together with Asus warranty? The Jayacom 1 was store warranty for RM1100ish which I am very suspicious.

Keyboard appearing automatically, so you're talking about the modern UI apps instead of the traditional desktop apps right? you can't stop it from appearing automatically when you focus on a textbox, but just a thing to remember is that you can hide it by pressing the keyboard icon in the lower right hand corner, next to the right arrow key, then in the menu that appears, the lower right most icon of a square with a down arrow below it, that's to hide the keyboard.

the key is in the box. you need to activate it using the provided key if you want to use it on the device
