I have that kind of budget too but with an extra RM 500, I can get Y400, i7-3630QM + Nvidia GT750M@RM2499, 4GB, 500GB, FreeDOS, 120wPSU, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty.

IMO it's more of a gaming future proof with the swappable ODD with another GC, do you agree with me?

How does the Y400 perform with 21" external monitor (dual monitor)? I need that due to my work.

Hi there, a few days ago I asked for some advice with the requirements below:
1. Preferred Brand - Any which can be found in Penang
2. Budget - RM2,500
3. Usage - Will mostly be used for going online and moderate gaming (I don't play games hardcore but could probably use one with a better graphic card for games like GTA)

Today, I went to a computer shop and asked about the Dell model, instead, he told me that the Toshiba Satellite L-Series may suit me better as it's cheaper and has 3 years warranty, etc, or if I fancy touchscreen, the S-Series. I think you can check the code on you box. If its end with XXXMY then it is a Malaysia set.

And some model has 1 year and some has 2 years warranty.

how could this happening? so the resellers and end users have to bear the risk of getting grey set? shouldn't Lenovo have some proper regulations on this, so anyone buying its products can have some sort of guarantee?  and some local distributors listed in the website are not selling Lenovo products

any other ways to make sure it's local set?

Does the non-local sets work in Singapore in terms of warranty? 

The RE13 Pro is a good choice but I prefer the P34G's thin-ness. P34G is 21mm thick while the RE13Pro is 31mm thick. Weight also is 1.7kg for P34G vs 2kg for RE13Pro.

RE13Pro has better graphics tho, which for me, anything above 750m is more than enough. Only big thing going for the RE13Pro would be the local warranty..
