QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 20 2013, 12:27 AM) Ah ha, Hawkish has 4.3 now? Tried joeldroid rom. Not bad actually. Has almost all note 3 features and all of them works. One of my favourite Note II's developers. Yes, I faced that issue as well when I flashed to stock to send to SC but since I planned to send back to them, I didn't bother to fix the network issue. Anyway, they returned back to me in good condition. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 20 2013, 01:17 AM) Great! So many download links, which one should I opt for? Joel droid rom is based on wanam rom but wanam doesnt have all the note3 features. Latest one is 3.4.1. Just downloaded but myb flash it tomorrow.I don't want AOSP.... Will look into Hawkish now. Yes, it is not something rare and have no idea why so many people are facing with this issue. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 21 2013, 11:25 AM) I had problems flashing 4.3 roms on outdated recovery. The old recovery doesnt support 4.3 roms. After getting the latest TWRP everything works fine. No need to flash SuperSU again. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 21 2013, 11:33 AM) Yeah, I think my CWM could be too outdated for 4.3. If you wanna to use TWRP you can try this link.http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/115 I think this should be the latest version? Or I'll go for Philz. http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/t03g/openr....6.3.0-t03g.zip Changelog 2.6.3.0 Proper backup and restore of SELinux contexts (thanks to Tassadar) Pull in some ROM information for backup name generation Merge all recent patches from AOSP bringing TWRP up to date with Android 4.3 Add 1200x1920 theme (thanks to Tassadar) A few other fixes and tweaks Change to GPL exfat kernel module to work around exfat-fuse bugs 2.6.1.0 Initial SELinux support (only a few devices, need testers so come by IRC if your device doesn't have it and needs it) Initial support for f2fs file system formatting (Moto X) Update SuperSU install for 4.3 ROMs Fixed a permissions bug on files created during backup Fixed a bug that caused TWRP to not wait for compressed backups to finish causing 0 byte files and md5sums to not match Fixed decryption of encrypted data so that both TouchWiz and AOSP decryption are possible Ignore lost+found folder during backup and size calculations Various other minor bug fixes and tweaks source : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1938733 |

I would recommend flashing joeldroid if you wanna use some of note3 features like air command(as if you havent use it on note3.I did want to check out XDA first before I downloaded, looks like you are faster than me. Happy flashing. |

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Oct 21 2013, 12:03 PM) Hawkish Rom Air Command not working? I think for Hawkish air command should work. You have to enable it but im not sure how. Something like using the help feature to enable it. If so better flash JoelDroid. Is flashing more straight forward?. Joeldroid is straight forward. Just flash it like you normally do with previous roms. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 21 2013, 12:12 PM) OK la, I will go for Joeldroid since I'm back to PJ with high speed LTE. Yes. Dont forget nandroid backup.Only download this file: JoelDroid N2 XXUEMI6 V3.4 Correct ya? There will be a notification by Goo.im for an update after flashing. Ignore it since the dev said it is buggy. Just stay with 3.4. |

Not sure bout other 4.3 roms. Anyway i did a dirty flash and played around with xposed framework. So im not sure whether it is the rom or my phone because of too many mods.Just like screenshot shown on the link below? https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Atta...post&id=3684756 sacremento and Eiraku |

I choose not to install the modem... then I wont lost IMEI... If I choose the modem that the Rom provide... I lost my IMEI... What you are saying is exactly the same thing in the warning of post #1. The solution is there too. Have you gone through that?Only got it restored when I flash back to older stock rom.... |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 21 2013, 11:03 PM) On another note, I ended up unintstalling the Optical Reader. I just couldn't make it work reliably enough at the moment, and it's not giving me business card reading capabilities anyway. Google Translate already does OCR for translation and it's doing so quite well too nowadays. That's too bad. I was hoping you could get it work. Maybe I ought to give it a try too. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 22 2013, 08:29 AM) Do share if you manage to get it working. In my case, while OCR works when grabbing text from a pic, the instant recognition part failed miserably, not really recognising anything. I even pinched some files straight from an S4, no joy. I just checked the thread that antt00 provided. The rom needs to be odex. I can only do this at home. Need to download a different rom. What rom did you try it with? |

QUOTE(joytest @ Oct 22 2013, 07:59 PM) I recall reading in xda that there are no custom roms but it's probably rootable. With the current state of Xposed that may be all that's needed. Yea. I dont think there is any custom rom for n7102. But still I think this version is a good business tool since it comes with dual sim and all the goodness of spen. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 23 2013, 02:34 AM) Oh God. Handwriting faces FC. The network meter is an option in aroma installer. You can disable it in wanam exposed. Just change the position of the clock. No continuous input although I have enabled it? By the way, how to disable the data packet from showing on the notification panel. Keeps showing how much is the download speed? There's a new patch for joeldroid. Check the 3.4.3 changelog. They should fix the keyboard issue already. I dont know why some of you get FC for handwriting mode and continuous input. Mine is working perfectly. I got FC for TW once after using continuous input and that was it. Everything works fine.
Btw im still on JoelDroid 3.4. No patch update yet and no settings changed in wanam xposed. Gonna stick to 3.4 until the dev come out with the new version end of this month. Another promising custom ROM is dr.Ketan's 4.3 custom rom. He seems to be working hard to port note3 features to our note2. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 24 2013, 12:07 AM) I was also on 3.4 but really faced FC with handwriting mode and continuous input. Weird. I just did a clean install of joeldroid rom 3.4 and patched with the new update(latest 3.4.3)Now on 3.4.3 only fixed the continuous input issue for me. Handwriting mode and continuous mode both are working fine. The best part....Business Card OCR working for me now. |
