Other people probably have their phone rooted and mod their phone to enable the toggle. Alternative? Use power button or get toggles from playstore.

i've read, most are talking about joeldroid, but i ended up flashing the latest [4.3][MI6]DN3(Ditto Note 3) ROM from Electron Team(E-team), will test the rom later
*
So how is the Rom?
Ive downloaded the rom but have not flash it yet.
Joeldroid was the closest to have the most note 3 features apart from dr.ketan's custom rom.
Now i can see that DN3 is something else. I see quite a lot of good remarks in xda. rclxms.gif

Flashed DN3 rom.
Loving it.
All note 3 features available. Including direct input.
Smart scroll option is available but doesnt work YET. (maybe next version)

Those having trouble to get into one handed operation at the home screen, instead of swiping like a thunderbolt tongue.gif , just swipe with a bit of curve from left to right or vice versa. Some stutters or delay when using one handed operation at home screen. No big deal.

OCR for business card is working.
No note 3 camera YET.
No Labs for stock browser. sad.gif
Battery life - Dont know yet. Just 2 hours of usage. I would say not bad actually.

Overall it's a good rom. smile.gif

Did you check the Business Card OCR scanner feature hidden in Contacts?

Looks like this is a better deal than Joeldroid.
*
Check my post earlier. smile.gif
Joeldroid 3.4.3 has the business card feature. I was using joeldroid 3.4.3 before I flashed DN3.

Mine doesnt FC. Just walking mate wont start. Did you wipe cache after flash?

QUOTE(joytest @ Oct 31 2013, 08:05 PM)
Note 2 has a barometer. I suspect s-health depends on an improved gyroscope to detect your walking motions.
*
I googled and you are right. I thought only s4 has it. My bad.

I removed S-health. It's eating up to much battery. 4 services running in the background. Pedometer seems to be running but useless at the moment.

Flashed to DN3 finally, everything works well except for handwriting recognition. No FC or whatsoever but whatever I wrote is not recognized. Nothing is shown though the writing pad has my writing which wasn't auto delete whenever I finished with a word. Anybody else has this issue?
*
No issues so far. Did you by any chance added other language pack?

Like?
I just enabled English and Chinese.
Now worse thing happened, I went to the thread and people were talking about this, so they asked to download Note 3 keyboard mod and flash manually. I went and flashed it but constant FC. sweat.gif
Didn't back up my old keyboard. sweat.gif
Looks like I will need to reflash everything again.

Is yours Note 3 keyboard?
*
Im not using note 3 keyboard. Read about some issues users facing. I think there are some users in xda facing the same problem as you. You might have to do some cache clearing.

I managed to fix it after did some reading. rclxm9.gif
Basically I followed the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488589

Then, handwriting recognition still didn't work and followed one of the quotes posted on first post in that thread:

you will get force close when switching from keyboard to pen

What I do is just delete

/data/data/com.visionobjects.resourcemanager

then reboot,,, yeh its fix for me

or use this file which delete this folder for you and replace keyboard form mj2
dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10706698/Note_2_4.3_Keyboard_Fix.zip"

Yeah fixed now. biggrin.gif
p/s: It is not a Note 3 keyboard but at least it fixed my handwriting recognition issue. I had that earlier when I just flashed to this ROM. Suspected issue was because I updated the language pack. blush.gif
*
Lol. I suspected it's the language pack that caused the problem. Most users that experienced keyboard FC was due to the added language pack. Fortunate for me I can't write chinese so no added language needed. tongue.gif

Changing the screen mode to movie seems a lot better in DN3 rom. Cant stand the over saturated screen colour. Saves a bit of battery too.

Solved your pen thickness problem? Apparently you need to edit an xml file.

I guessed as much but haven't read xda yet. Any link to post?
*
Edit the xml file. Make a copy and rename as backup just in case.

/data/data/com.sec.android.inputmethod/shared_prefs/ com.sec.android.inputmethod_preferences.xml

The line should be somewhere at the bottom. Default value should be 5. Change it to your preference.
CODE

<string name="SETTINGS_DEFAULT_HWR_PENTHICKNESS">2</string>

Happens quite often after a reboot on DN3. I think there was some solution on the xda thread but can't find it.
*
Not only after reboot. It can happen during standby too. So far there's only 'possible fix' in xda but I don't think it will fix the problem since a lot of comments says they still have the problem. I dont think it is a bug. Maybe compatibility issues.

Actually the cheap 3rd party charger got hissing too. But still giving 1800mah. Hissing starts at 95% of battery level.

Is this charging rate normal using original charger and cable?
*
Normal for me since if im using ori charger and cable. I can't get past 1000mah. I suspect it's the cable coz i've already claimed warranty for the charger and it's still giving the same output. Some lucky people could get maximum output. I'm one of those unlucky ones. Now I'm using charger from China. Recommended by fruitie. Constant 1800mah output. thumbup.gif
